9/26-27/09: Our Busy Weekend

We had a busy weekend as always. We started with Dance and Soccer on Saturday, and then went into Boston for Disney's Christmas Carol Train Tour. It wasn't quite what we expected for an hour and a half wait (more of a big commercial for the movie), but both kids seemed to like it and said it was fun after. I think Evan just likes anything that involves a train.

Then on Sunday we headed to GymStreet USA where we do Gymnastics for Ava's birthday (friend from playgroup). Here is Evan during the bouncy portion. And Lauren during the Gymnastics portion. Then headed over to Jump on In to another bouncy party for Molly (daycare/school friend). There were lots of Evan's classmates there and friends from daycare. What a fun day.

9/20/09: Evan's Acting Debut at the Children's Museum

We had a great time at the Children's Museum in Boston today as always. Here is Evan making his acting debut in the Kid's Stage production of "Why the Rat Came First". He even had a line in it since he was the Rat. So cute!
Here he is getting ready to take a bow.
Lauren hanging out in the Peeps area. Evan and his wonderful trains. He does love trains.

9/19/09: Go Green Goblins!

Today was a perfect day for the 1st day of soccer (cancellation last week due to rain). What an exciting game between the Green Goblins and Bumblebees. All the fans were screaming and clapping in the excitement of it all. The kids had such a good time. Evan even has a little girl from school on his team who apparently has a crush on him (she is actually next to him in this picture with the purple sleeves). Don't tell his other girlfriends. I already felt like he was in HS when I met the little girl's father and he said "so this is the Evan I hear about every night at dinner". At least he wasn't cleaning a gun at the time. :-)
The exciting match up. Go Evan! It was so great to see all of our team members getting in there and going after the ball. Much different than last year.

Coach Daddy telling them all to go that way. They always practice shooting on their net so it is hard at game time to get them to go the right way.

Evan posing.

Evan and Coach daddy after the game.

Lauren in there too.

A future Green Goblin? Maybe?

9/13/09: Burlington Truck Day - Year 4

It is that time of year again, time for Truck Day! As you know Evan loves Fire Trucks as seen from his birthday party at the Fire Station. This is the largest of the Truck Days that we go to and have gone 4 years in a row. It was stated there were 120 trucks there and I believe it since they were every where. The kids had an awesome time! After we continued our busy weekend on to our nephew's birthday party, and then to visit Gilda's family including her Uncle who she hasn't seen in 20 years (lives in California). Here are the kids on the Fire Truck.

And in front of a big Mack truck. Evan especially likes Mack trucks due to the movie Cars.

9/12/09: Thomas Make and Take and Yankee Doodle Weekend

Well we still had Dance today as you saw in my earlier post, however the Yankee Doodle Parade and Soccer were cancelled allowing us to go to AC Moore for a Thomas the Train make and take event. Here are the kids coloring their trains.
Here they are with the finished product.
Despite the fact that the parade was cancelled they did have the fireworks display. Unfortunately there wasn't much wind which made it quite foggy to see some of the fireworks but it didn't seem to matter to the kids. When asked their favorite part of the day an enthusiastic answer of "the fireworks" was given. Lauren said they were so cool and she loved it! Glad we went. These were the kids there last year.

9/12/09: Lauren's 1st Day of Dance at Tricia'sTots

Here is Lauren already to go to her first Dance Class for the Fall. This is her second class. Her first was last year, posted here. She was so excited to go and especially loves wearing her leotard and ballet shoes.
Here she is in the left hand corner ready to go on her aqua mat.
She sat right next to Ms. Tricia her teacher.
Marching time. (2nd from the left). Marching with her teacher.
Time to bounce.
Crouch down and jump up!
Bending again.
So proud of herself with her new dance bag.

9/11/09: Pre-School Year 2 Day 1

Today was Evan's first day of school at the Learning Garden in Mrs. McFeeley's class. Here was last year. My little boy is getting so big. Today G was the letter of the day. He was so excited today and wondering why I was still hanging around. Guess he is an old pro and wanted good old Mommy gone. Lauren also joined us and thought she was going to school. Poor little girl was upset she didn't have a name tag there. She had her backpack and everything.
Lauren excited too!

Daddy with Evan wishing him luck on his first day.
His Lightening McQueen Folder.
Lauren all set to go.
Oh, so sweet!
Yippee!
In front of his school.
Mommy and Lauren wishing Evan good luck in front of school.
Hugs for Evan! I love you big brother.
Is it time yet?
Lauren thinks she is really going too.
Getting stamped with the letter of the day.
Sitting on the rug ready to go!
Bye honey, have a wonderful day and we will see you for Friendly's after. (My little tradition to go out to lunch after the first day of school. Been doing it since I started with my Mom.)
