12/30/10: Enchanted Village and 4D Polar Express MOM Ride

As we were getting a little stir crazy from being home much of the Christmas Break, I decided to take the kids to the Enchanted Village again this year in Jordan's Furniture in Avon. This time we walked right in as it is after Christmas, unlike last year when we waited over an hour. Here are the kids sitting in Santa's Chair. Of course Santa has gone back to the North Pole and was not there.

Lauren at the 4D M.O.M. - Motion Odyssey Movie Ride. It was really cool, and took you right in to the action by moving you all around. It was The Polar Express. The kids really liked it.

12/28/10: Disney on Ice Princess Wishes

We had fun as we always do at Disney on Ice. We go every year for my birthday. Our show was cancelled due to the snow but we were able to go to another show.
Lauren dressed as Cinderella with Cinderella behind her during the pre-show. At the preshow. Mickey! At the end of the show.

12/24-25/10- Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

12/18/10: Radio City Christmas Spectacular Fun

Today we went to the Radio City Music Christmas Spectacular with the Rockettes. What a great show. The kids were very excited to see this fun Christmas show. Lauren especially was excited for the dancers as she also takes Ballet. My husband and I saw this in New York where it originated, so I was a bit skeptical about seeing it in Boston, but it did not disappoint.

As I stated in my earlier post, there is still time to buy tickets, and at a 25% discount using the discount code: MOMMY! So go ahead and support theatre in Boston and bring the family for a family friendly, fun Holiday show and make it an annual tradition.

Here we are at the Citi Performing Arts Theatre - Wang Theatre. What a beautiful building. The kids were in awe. I wasn't allowed to take pictures in the theatre, only in the lobby, but that is ok as it won't ruin the surprise for you going to the show.

The signage for the show. My favorite part was the toy soldiers dancing (and falling - on purpose). Being a dancer in the past, I understand how difficult it is to keep straight lines in pin wheels, and they did an awesome job. I also got to enjoy the Rockettes tap dancing. I take Tap right now as an Adult (did as a kid also), so that was especially enjoyable. The kids really liked the dancing teddy bears in the show and the multitude of Santas.
I hope you have as much fun as we did at this wonderful show.

Disclaimer: I received a family four pack of tickets to this show to review it and post discount codes.

12/17/10: Evan's Kindergarten Holiday Show

Today was Evan's Kindergarten Holiday Show. The kids did great, and learned a lot of songs. Here he is singing.
They sang There Will Be Peace and it brought a tear to my eye. I saw many parents wiping away tears. So sweet.
All the reindeers are his class.
Singing.
So cute.
And now back in the room after for Punch and cookies. His favorite part.
With Lauren telling him how well he did.
And with his buddy Molly.

Here are another video from the show of Rudolph.

12/14/10: Lauren's Holiday Party at school

Evan has had a few parties at school, but this time Lauren got to have one. What a great time. And Mommy went in and helped. Santa checking out her new Zooble.

12/12/10: The Polar Express

We went on the Polar Express again this year out of North Conway. This experience includes a night time train ride, elves, a trip to the North Pole, and of course Santa himself. What a great time. Here are the kids at the hotel all ready to go in their PJs.

12/10-11/10: YMCA Party and another visit to Santa

Billerica does a wonderful job for the holidays. The library has a bunch of decorated trees for raffle, there is a Breakfast and Pizza with Santa, tree lighting and a nice picture with Santa. We went to this today at the Bennett Library and Cultural Center. This was free (which is amazing compared to what you pay at the mall to take a picture with Santa) and the kids got to sit on the sleigh, spend time talking to him, and got a little stuffed animal after. Both of my kids have been carrying their stuffed animals around all day today. All of the Billerica Events are here.
So cute with the reindeers.
Here is the picture they took. It scanned a bit bright.
Telling Santa what they want.
Last night we went to the holiday party at the YMCA after swim class. The kids had a great time there too. Here they were last year.
And again talking to Santa.
