I am reposting one of my favorite Walt Disney World blog post. We love the most Magical Place on earth, Disney World. Here are some highlights of our trip. I took 2000 pictures! Yes I am lucky we don't have to develop film any more. Here are all my previous Disney posts. I was recently asked by Trekaroo for my favorite tip and they have posted it in a roundup of tips on their blog along with a great giveaway for a Disney Vacation!
Here are some of my favorites and highlights of the vacation. First off Bibbity Boppity Boutique. This was well worth the money. We brought our own dress to save money, but had Lauren's hair, makeup and nails done. And Evan got the Knights package! He loved it, and I loved the price of only $19 which included the shield and sword. This is an awesome value! The Knights package is the tip they shared. I also have written a guest post on the Disney Gals on this topic that you can see here.
Here is Lauren getting made up. She picked the hair that she wanted.
And Evan displaying his hidden Mickey Mouse.
Another highlight for the kids was to meet Rapunzel. This can be up to a 3 hour wait but thanks to going to Bippity Boppity at 8 am we were in the park before it opened and were the first in line. The newest characters are always the longest waits.
Another really cool character to meet was the Beast!
And of course with the popularity of Toy Story 3, Woody and Jessie were another hot character set to wait in the hot sun to see. Note Lauren and Evan's shirts match them!
And of course I must have one picture with Mickey here.
We always love eating at the Castle. Usually we do breakfast, but this time tried dinner.
And the whole family is excited to see Cars 2 coming out on June 24th. Check out this in Epcot.
We also celebrated both of their birthdays there which included cupcakes, singing and cards signed by the characters.
One of the signed cards.
Other highlights was that this year Lauren was 41 inches making her tall enough for Splash Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain, Soarin and Test Track which made her very excited. Evan was tall enough for Mommy's favorite ride Space Mountain and went on that and loved it! Overall both of their favorites is still Small World, but we expanded their horizons a bit.
Lauren giving a thumbs up after Big Thunder Mountain.
Lauren giving a thumbs up after Big Thunder Mountain.
And me and Evan ready to ride Space Mountain!
Something new that was added was projected photos on the Castle before the fireworks. This new show is called The Magic, The Memories and You! This was really cool!

Another cool thing we learned on this trip is how much you actually walk. My husband had a FitBit on and it recorded up to 11 miles of walking a day! Pretty cool.

What a wonderful vacation. I can't wait to go back!!!!
Totally agree with you about how much walking you end up doing. It sort of took us by surprise. Our first trip to Disney I actually lost weight despite the good food, and I credit that to all the walking!
ReplyDeleteThe Bibbity Bobbity Boutique sounds like a blast, but I just can't justify the cost.
ReplyDeleteLooks like you had a great trip! I'm hoping to get back to Disney again soon.
ReplyDeleteWe love Disney World so much that we moved to Florida to be closer!
ReplyDeleteWould love to take my boys to Disney World one day. We live in Southern California, so we go to Disneyland. Great photos from your trip. It's great to see what Disney World has to offer!
ReplyDeleteHad some of those same experiences with my girls. They're bigger now, but we still enjoy WDW together!
ReplyDeleteWe have been to Disneyland as a family two times, but we would love to take our kids to Disney World.
ReplyDeletewow this sounds amazing!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait until my daughter turns 5...we are planning to take her for her birthday and treat her to Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique
ReplyDeleteLove the idea of scheduling the appt before the park opens to take advantage of some of the other perks - like meeting characters!
ReplyDeleteWhat a trip you all had. Thank you for sharing this information.
ReplyDeleteI love the hidden Mickey! That's a great option for boys!
ReplyDeleteWe loved seeing the photos projected on the castle, it was sooo magical!!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great time - we've yet to take the kids! Hopefully someday soon.
ReplyDeleteThis got me pumped for our upcoming vacation. We are taking our 11 month old daughter!

ReplyDeleteThat projection on the castle is amazing! I hope we're able to see it like that one day :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like your family had a magical time! Excited to hear about your next time visiting :)
ReplyDeleteI love the magical hairdos that boys can get too!
ReplyDeleteDisney is absolutely a magical place. Looks like you all had a great time. We have been to Disney World many times but hope to eventually plan a trip to Disneyland sometime soon!
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome trip! We went to WDW several years ago and absolutely loved it! Our favorite meet and greet were Russell and Dug from Up at the Animal Kingdom, they were so much fun to interact with!
ReplyDeleteGreat Tips.. looks like it was a blast!
ReplyDeleteSuch CUTE photos <3 Disney is the BEST. I cannot wait until I can go back :)
ReplyDeleteHeather Sebastian

ReplyDeleteI think I would love all these attractions maybe more than the kids do lol
ReplyDeleteI'll never forget the times we went to disney world.
ReplyDeleteLove all the character photos!
ReplyDeleteMy daughter has a sensory disorder and I was terrified about the long wait to meet the Princesses,as well as the fact that she would meet them with multiple strangers. We did the Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique package and it was the best part of the trip! I have to admit I shed a few tears as her Fairy Godmother in Training led her over while proclaiming "Make way for the newest princess!"
ReplyDeleteSuch great memories! Love all the great tips, wish we could go back. <3
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures!! You have some great tips here! I would love to take my kids to Disney World. My daughter has EXTREMELY bad anxiety and a few years ago we had taken her to Disney World but she was so upset by everything the whole time she didn't get to experience anything and we spent most of our time hiding away while she cried. Would love to take her back now that she has been in therapy and has learned the tools to overcome these panic attacks (she's been other places she has put her practices in use) her goal is to one day go back there and overcome fears she has had
ReplyDeletethis looks fun
ReplyDeleteAdorable photos! Can't wait to take my own!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos!
ReplyDeleteLove meeting Disney Characters.
ReplyDeleteThe fireworks are the best! What a way to finish the day at the park

ReplyDeleteamazing can't wait to go
ReplyDeleteSo want to go to Disney now! So amazing x
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures
ReplyDeleteI would love to take my kids to Disney someday. I'm glad you mentioned the ride height limits.
ReplyDeleteIf you go to Bippity Boppity Boutique (I probably botched the spelling), or the Barber Shop on Main Street (yes, they have a working barber shop), you can ask for pixie dust which is basically glitter for your hair. It's free!
ReplyDeleteMy niece did the boutique and her reaction was priceless. They caught her with her mouth open wide, her eyes lighting up, and a look of complete awe and happiness as they showed her makeover for the first time.
It's expensive, but I definitely recommend doing it if you can!
great info - thx
ReplyDeleteI really hope I get to bring my kids someday soon!!

ReplyDeleteWe are going to be moving close to the park, so we are going to get annual passes. I forget about how much walking/standing is involved. Great way to add a healthy workout while having fun!
ReplyDeleteHopefully we can go next years! These are great tips :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks like you had so much fun on your vacation!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!! I can't wait to take my boys back there again!
ReplyDeleteWDW is so much fun. My daughters' favorite part was acting in Storytime with Belle.

ReplyDeleteDisney is such a magical place! We didn't do the Bibbity Bobbity Boutique but it will definitely be on our list the next time we go.

ReplyDeletegreat photos great tips
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures! It looks like it was an amazing trip!
ReplyDeleteThat picture with the cars trees/greenery is the cutest! And now you've got me wondering how well a hidden mickey in my sons super blonde hair would look, maybe a black and red color, he's two though, might just rub or play with it ALOT by the end probably wouldn't even look like Mickey. Anywho, looks like you guys had a great time. I can't wait to get back to Disney with my two kids!
ReplyDeleteLooks like fun!
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog and blog post! These are great pictures!
ReplyDeleteThanks For Sharing,Loved your post and all of the pictures. would love to take my grand kids when money will allow. we have never been to Disney.
ReplyDeleteLOVE all the tips! I can't believe you walked 11 miles a day! No wonder my family and I always get blisters at Disney. Totally worth it and can eat desert without feeling guilty!

ReplyDeleteLove the tips! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteLove these tips and ideas!
ReplyDeleteI loved your photos! Thanks for sharing them. And I'm amazed that your husband's FitBit recorded 11 miles of walking a day -- wow! I know you walk a lot during a Disney vacation, but I had no idea it was that much! I'm going to pass that info along to my husband -- thanks!
ReplyDeleteI would love to go.
ReplyDeleteGreat post! Beautiful family!
ReplyDeleteLooks like y'all had an awesome trip! So much fun!
ReplyDeletegreat pictures. these are on our list to do on our next visit :)

ReplyDeleteVery cool pics! I am so excited to go someday!
ReplyDeleteAwesome!
ReplyDeleteSuch precious photos!!!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos and great read!
ReplyDeleteGreat pictures. So much fun!
ReplyDeleteNo matter how often you go, there is always, something you have missed seeing or doing. We started going to Disneyland when it opened in the 50's. I wish I had photos to look back on.
ReplyDeleteLooks like an amazing trip. I can't wait to take my girls back soon and do all the things we missed the first time like BBBoutique, Animal Kingdom, and hopefully the new Frozen ride. This momma loves Disney more than the kids!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the tips!
ReplyDeleteDef going to bring my fit bit if I win a trip to Disney!
ReplyDeleteGreat Tips!
ReplyDeleteWe've been to Disney World several times and have never eaten at the Castle. It's definitely on my must do list for our next trip! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteGreat pics!!! Yes there is a lot of walking but one good thing is you walk off all the big table service meals you are eating each day. Usually by the end of the trip, I feel like I can hardly walk on the plane to leave.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. I love your pictures.
ReplyDeleteLove the hair dos!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun vacation photos, looks like a great trip!
ReplyDeleteWe love Disney and can;t wait to go there soon!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you guys had an incredible time!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great tips and photos!
ReplyDeleteEven adults love meeting the characters! Makes us feel like kids again.
ReplyDeleteWith all of the characters there and photo opportunities, they will use your phone or camera if you ask and want to save money and not purchase photo pass. And when it comes to walking, budget in stroller rental! Even if you think your kids are old enough, just in case. It is ALOT of walking for kids!
ReplyDeleteNext time I would bring my fitbit! Thanks for sharing
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to take my kids there!
ReplyDeletesounds like u and your family had so much fun.. i cant wait till the day me and my kids can finally afford to go!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos and the info.
ReplyDeleteAwesome blog entry!
ReplyDeleteI so want my family to do the dress up photos!
ReplyDeleteThis looks like so much fun! I hope we will be able to visit Disneyworld soon! 😊
ReplyDeleteWow, that's a lot of walking!
ReplyDelete2000 photos - wow! I think we got pretty close on our most recent trip too.
ReplyDeleteMy family is big on pin trading. We buy bulk Disney pins off eBay and trade for fun all around the parks. Great memories and it's fun meeting different cast members from all over the world.
ReplyDeletePhoto pass excellent idea so glad we added it on bought DVD later, fun seeing pics on line
ReplyDeleteMakes me want to go even more.
ReplyDeleteYou're not kidding about the walking. Definitely make sure you have good running shoes. I didn't last year and by the end of the trip my feet were covered with blisters
ReplyDeleteThere is a lot of walking and standing in line, that's for sure! But still real fun.
ReplyDeleteTerrific adventure full of fun and exitment!
ReplyDeleteDon't force your kids to stay there if they're miserable. When it's time for an afternoon nap...leave! You can always come back once they're rested.
ReplyDeleteHope I'll be able to go sometime soon! I haven't been since I was about their age haha.
ReplyDeleteGreat ideas and tips. I always thought the Bibbity Bobbity B was expensive - I had no idea that you could bring in your own outfit and they did the make-up and everything for you - that is not a bad price - I thought it was closer to $100 - thanks for that - great pics, too!
ReplyDeleteI had a friend who logged over 13 miles in the MK in one day. No wonder I can go, eat foods I would never dare eat at home (cinnamon roll anyone?) and come home two weeks later *only* weighing three pounds more than when I left. :)
ReplyDeleteLove all your pictures, looks like you all had a great time. I've always wondered how far people walk at Disney? I know it feels like miles so it's interesting to know exactly how far you walked in a day!
ReplyDeleteDying to eat in the castle!
ReplyDeleteI haven't been to WDW since I was just a little girl! My children have never been able to enjoy that magic! Thanks for the fun memories!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cool, thanks for the tips. my son would definitely love the Knights package too!

ReplyDeleteWow this trip sounds amazing! i hope to one day be able to take my kids to Disney World.

ReplyDeleteThank you for putting this together, it is a great resource and i hope to one day put it all to use for my magical time to come with my 2 daughters. This is something every parent should be able to share with their children at least one. We hope to one day have 2000 pictures of our fun times and family time in Disney as well, what great memories that will last a lifetime. Thank you
