JM Barrie's Peter Pan 360 is playing in Boston on City Hall Plaza through December 30th. This show is truly breathtaking! The 360 theatre is something you have never seen and brings so much excitement to the show. Plus you feel totally immersed in the action. When the cast was flying through the air to Neverland it was absolutely amazing that it gave me chills. My kids who are 4 and 6 were awe struck by the performance. The other nice thing is that it could be enjoyed by all ages. I heard a couple teenage boys at intermission saying it was amazing. This can be a hard age group to please. Here we are before entering the theatre look cute flying off to Neverland.
My absolute favorite character was Tinker Bell. She was feisty and hilarious. I was laughing out loud at her and thought she was awesome. They stayed true to the story but brought some awesome theatrical pieces in along with more modern takes on the characters.
Here is a bit more information about the show:
- There are 12 projectors delivering a 360 projection.
- 400 square miles of virtual London circa 1904 were rendered.
- It is the largest surround CGI venue in the world!
- 200 computers took four weeks to create the images - it would have taken 8 years for a single computer to render.
- More than 500,000 people on two continents have enjoyed this theatrical experience.
The theatre holds 1,300 and there is not a bad seat in the house!
- The entire interior of the tent is lit with more than 15,000 square feet of Hi-Resolution video which is 3 times the size of Imax screens.
We were so lucky to be able to get a tour after the show and the kids got to meet Peter Pan and Wendy! Here they are.
Here we are on the stage with Wendy's Mom and the person who played Nana.
Here is the actor bringing up Nana to greet the kids.
The kids loved this!
Here they all are with the two actors and Nana.
We even got to see the crocodile and learn a little more about it.
Here are the kids learning about this wonderfully big puppet.
I can't recommend enough to go to this show. You will truly be awe struck.

What a lovely theatre!

You are quick girl! I agree, the show was amazing and gave me goose bumps more than once. Tink was awesomely snarky. Loved her.
