I was very lucky to receive an advanced copy of a TV Show called Emily Owens M.D. that is premiering on October 16th on the CW Network. The show
stars Mamie Gummer who is Meryl Streep's daughter. I believe it is going to be a "must see" series this upcoming Fall.
I love that the main character in the show has the same insecurities all of us have. She thinks back to high school and the struggles all kids growing up go through. She even ends up being an intern in the same group as a nemesis from high school. She shows us that even starting a new job brings back those same feelings of fitting in and feeling confident enough to know your talented. I love one of her quotes: "I'm done feeling stupid and insecure about feeling stupid and insecure".
I don't want to give too much away but will say a lot happens in this first episode and it will pull at your heart strings a bit. It really makes me want to see what happens next. Here is a video preview:
