12/8/12: A Christmas Carol at the North Shore Music Theatre

Last night we were able to attend A Christmas Carol at the North Shore Music Theatre.  I was blown away at how wonderful the performance was.
As you can see next to Evan you can donate Toys for Tots at the show.
Right when you walked in you were put in to the holiday spirit by the Christmas Carolers out in the lobby.
David Coffee played Ebenezer Scrooge and was fantastic.  He was perfect for the role and was fantastic to watch.  The North Shore Music Theatre has been putting on this show for 22 years and you can tell they have perfected it.  David Coffee has played Scrooge for 19 years.
All photos of David Coffee credited to Paul Lyden.

The whole cast was amazing.  We especially liked the special effects in this show with Jacob Marley and with the Graveyard scene.  It was amazing to see the Ghosts of Christmas Past, Present and Future be larger than life literally.  They were extremely tall and impressive to watch.  What a wonderful production.  I don't want to give any thing away and ruin the surprise but the whole section with Jacob Marley was awesome!  The kids really enjoyed the show and so did I.  I highly recommend you go with your family.
Here is a preview video of the show.

The North Shore Music Theatre is a wonderful and intimate venue.  It is a casual environment and I love that.  Plus we love that the actors come up and down the aisles so close to you.
The show is going on till Sunday December 23rd with only 12 performance so you buy tickets now.
More about the Show:
North Shore Music Theatre presents the 22nd production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL
Whether it's flying ghosts, the singing of carols, the scowl of Scrooge, or the awed faces of children in the audience, there's something for everyone in North Shore Music Theatre's award-winning production of A CHRISTMAS CAROL.  Since its World Premiere in 1989, A CHRISTMAS CAROL has delighted more than a million people, including over 400,000 school children.  "I am always excited about our annual production of A Christmas Carol, the show is truly a gift to all New England families for the holidays," said NSMT's owner and Producer Bill Hanney. "For so many people, A Christmas Carol has become a tradition that truly defines the spirit of the season. This year, A Christmas Carol will be directed by our Artistic Director, Arianna Knapp. Arianna knows this show well, as she was involved with the creation of this beautiful show in 1989. Whether someone has seen all 21 past productions, or if they are seeing it for the first time, I know this year's production is sure to delight everyone."
With dazzling special effects that have grown even more exciting over time, traditional and original songs, and colorful costumes, A CHRISTMAS CAROL has become a holiday favorite throughout New England.
