4/13/14: Happy 7th Birthday to Lauren

Today was my daughter Lauren's 7th birthday.  For one of the first times we were able to have her party on her actual birthday day.  She decided on a Disney Frozen theme which was super fun and had a pool/gym party.  It was so much fun for everyone!
The kids started out in the pool.  They had fun swimming around.
We have had a tough winter in New England and finally we are seeing signs of spring with some warmer weather.  I think the kids were all very excited to get in the pool.
Here is Evan having fun.  He swims on pre-team so this was a nice fun day to swim without laps.
The kids were having a great time.
 Evan splashing around.
 The girls hanging out.
 Posing for me.
It was hard to get them out of the pool but when they heard there was pizza and cake that got them moving.
I made this Disney Frozen themed cake.  The ice pieces are made out of corn syrup, sugar, water, food coloring and vanilla extract.  It was nice to make them edible for the kids.
Here are the cupcakes I made blue and white swirled with Frozen rings.
Here they are setup at the party.
Elsa and Anna were ready to party.
Here are the girls hanging out eating pizza.
The boys and one of the girls.
 Cake time!
 Singing Happy Birthday!
 Blowing out the candle.
The cake was blue.  A little surprising to the kids when they saw it.

Then we went to the gym.  The kids had fun jumping rope, playing basketball, and running around.

Evan was having fun playing with a little brother of one of the girls at the party.
Then we went out to the playground.  Here is Evan all the way at the top.
My little baby girl has grown up a lot since she was 1 and continues to grow in to a beautiful girl inside and out.
