6/5/14: Great Wolf Lodge New England Grand Opening

Today I went to the Grand Opening of Great Wolf Lodge New England in Fitchburg, MA.  It is the 12th Great Wolf Lodge to open and I am so happy for it to be within howling distance of our house.  Violet and Wiley were happy to welcome me.
Here you can see the lodge from the outside.  It really is a one stop resort with so much to do in one place including Water Park, Dining, Arcade, Rides for children, Kid Spa, Shopping, Mini Golf, MagiQuest and more!
Great Wolf Lodge's CEO Kim Schaefer spoke on their mission which is all about family fun.  You may recognize her as she was on the show "Undercover Boss".
Here is video of her talking about their Mission.
She also lead us through the Great Wolf Lodge New England's Howl to open the resort.  I especially liked that it included Wicked Fun.  "Wicked" is a favorite word in New England.
Here is the Howl for New England.
Here is the General Manager Phil Cunningham welcoming us and thanking town and state officials.
The Lodge was all decked out for the grand opening.
I am going to start with the Water Park.  You must be staying at the resort in order to go to the water park.  The Water Park is part of the resort rate.  There are two large water park areas.  Here is one side with so much to do.
There is a Wave Pool called Slap Tail Pond.
In the other area of the Water Park if you had ever gone to CoCo Key you may recognize some of this.  There is a fun kids play area.
Of course that bucket at the top pours over.
There is also the Crooked Creek which is a Lazy River.  Plus much more and a food area.
There is also another slide where the floor drops and you go straight down.  It looks amazing!  You can see all of the Water Park attractions here.  At the bottom of this photo you may be able to see there is a splash pad area outside also.
There is a Kids Spa called Scooops.  Isn't this adorable.  I love the ice cream decor.  Girls can have their nails done and more.  There are all different packages.  They even have a basic package for only $9.99 where the child gets a tiara, sash, lotion, hair scent and lip gloss application.  Just enough to feel pretty.
Look at how cute this stuff is.  Children can get manicure, pedicures and facials.  Prices range from 9.99 up to $94.99 for manicure, pedicure and facial.
There is MagiQuest where kids can get a wand and interact with displays and characters throughout the resort.
Here you can see one of the MagiQuest areas.  This looks super fun and great for young explorers.  There is an extra fee for MagiQuest for the wands and to play.
This is what one of the standard family rooms looks like.  I love the wood decor.  All rooms also have a microwave and fridge.
They also have Family Themed Suites.  Look at how adorable these bunk beds are for the kids.  This is partitioned off from the room.
The remaining part of the theme suite.
The TV for the kids in their little area.
There is also a play park area with lots of fun activities for the family.  All of these activities will require an extra fee.
There is Mini Golf.
Kids rides.
A ropes course.
Bowling alleys.
Plus there is a very large arcade.  This arcade area also has a Laser Tag and 4D movie.  There are also story times with the characters during the day and at night.
There is even a cute little store where you can make your own animals.
You can also color shirts or pillow cases.
There is more shopping for adults with some beautiful items.
Plenty of places to get food.  There is a restaurant, a bar, Dunkin Donuts, a dessert shop, and pizza spot.
Believe it or not they even sell their own wine!
There is so much to do there.  It truly is an amazing resort and worth a stay with the whole family!  You will Howl and have a WICKED FUN time!
Even though our dog Fred can't go in the Water Park, he can howl and decided he wanted to be part of the #wolfpack too.

Disclosure:  I was invited as media to the Great Wolf Lodge New England's grand opening.  I did receive a bag with promotional items.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
