7/5/15: Red Jacket Mountain View Resort North Conway NH Review

Summer vacation from school just started which means it was time to getaway.  One of our favorite places to go in the summer is the White Mountains.  We have been going since the kids were little.  We were extremely fortunate to be hosted by the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort in North Conway, New Hampshire and had a lovely stay.  Not only is it a lovely resort but it also has Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park
The Resort is beautiful.  As you drive up you see it up on the hill.
Here is a video of the Resort to give you an overview of the Resort and Kahuna Laguna Water Park.
We had a Mountain View Family Alcove Room which overlooks the mountain range, and has two separate rooms.  As you can see here, this is the kid's room.  They were very excited to sleep in bunk beds and have their own TV.  It was nice having a door so the kids could get to sleep earlier.
Here you can see our room which had two double beds and a private bath.  The beds were really comfortable.  You could easily fit up to 6 people in the room.  I also noticed that our room was very quiet.  There was very little noise that we could overhear from the hall or other rooms.
Here you can see a view of the bathroom.  It was very clean.
Here is our lovely view of the mountains.
Beautiful!
The Red Jacket Mountain View Resort hotel offers 164 guest rooms with queen or king beds, cottages, vacation rental townhouse and other deluxe accommodations with comforts such as complimentary high-speed wireless Internet access, private balconies or patios, in-house vended laundry and available Jacuzzi rooms.  I think the highlight for my kids was the Kahuna Laguna Indoor Water Park.
The kids could not wait to go in the water!
The first day we arrived the weather was very rainy so it was a perfect time for the Water Park.  There are packages that can be purchased that include the water park, or if you are staying at the Red Jacket Fox Ridge Resort it is $20 a person to enjoy the water park.  You can also visit the water park even if you are not staying at a Red Jacket Resort.  Admission is $40 per person and $10 per Observation pass.
The kids loved the slides.  There are four slides.  Two require a tube and two do not.
Fun sliding on the slides.
There is so much to do at the water park.
The kids liked the slides the best.
Here is a view of the slides and other areas.
It is so beautiful, and warm when you come out of the water.
Having fun!
Here is Lauren in the Hot Tub.  It is a 25 person Hot Tub.
Evan coming off one of the slides.
Another favorite especially for Evan is the basketball area in the water.
Evan giving the water park a big thumbs up.
If you get hungry by the pool, no need to worry.  There is The Tiki Tide Cafe with drinks and food.  The prices were very affordable.
The wave pool was lots of fun.
There is an area for smaller kids to play and splash.
Here is another area that is fun for kids to play in with smaller slides and places to spray.
 Evan going down the slide.
Here you can see the slide.
The kids having a splashtastic time.
There are also packages that include breakfast which we got to enjoy.  The breakfast area was in Champney's and was right down the hall from us.  There is a wonderful breakfast buffet including an omelet/egg station, french toast, pancakes, Eggs Benedict, sausage, bacon, home fries, fruit and pastries.  A server gives you your beverages and there is coffee on the table.
The breakfast was excellent and had a beautiful view of the mountains.
There is another restaurant called Palmer's Red Ridge Grille.  You can see all dining here.
As if that wasn't enough there is an outdoor heated pool which we enjoyed.
The kids had a great time splashing around in the pool.  It was really large and nice and warm.
Of course there are beautiful views from the pool also.
Here is a building next to the pool that has restrooms and also houses ceramics at night.
There are many activities going on during the day for families and the resort provides a schedule.  This ranges from movies, to video game contests.  Here is a sample schedule of one of the days we were there.
We went to ceramics on one of the nights we stayed.  The kids had an awesome time painting little doggies.  Each of the items has a small charge from about $5 to $14.
The kids love painting and this was a great way to entertain them.
Here you can see all the options for kids.  There was even wine glasses that adults could paint.
Here are some more views of our room.
Some view from the outside as you enter.
 Entrance to Kahuna Laguna.
I also was able to visit the Red Jacket Fox Ridge Resort which was only about a 1/4 mile from the Red Jacket Mountain View Resort which is located on 30 acres.
This resort has an outdoor swimming pool and a heated indoor pool with whirlpool.
They even have a nine hole mini golf course.
There is also a Game Room.
Here s the Glen Ellis Breakfast Room with a buffet.
This is another wonderful option of places to stay.
The whole family enjoyed our stay and we can't wait to go back and check out other Red Jacket Resorts.
