1/18/16: Learning about Chevrolet at the New England International Auto Show

Last week I was lucky enough to visit the New England International Auto Show in Boston on behalf of SheBuysCars and Chevrolet.  I was able to check out lots of cool cars and learn more about the safety and connectivity features in Chevrolet cars.
One of the cool features that struck me was the new Teen Driver functionality in the 2016 Chevrolet Malibu.  It mutes the radio until front seat occupants are buckled up, it has a speed warning, front collision alert and an in vehicle report card for parents.  I absolutely love this functionality.  My kids are years away from getting licenses but now I have peace of mind that when they are driving I can just imagine how many more safety features will be implemented.
The technology in Chevrolet is amazing also for connectivity.  The services currently available through the myChevrolet and OnStar RemoteLink® apps will be combined in 2016 to offer customers easier mobile access to roadside assistance, parking reminders, owner’s manual content, vehicle diagnostics, Wi-Fi® hotspot management and key fob commands such as remote start and door unlock.  Users can also check vehicle diagnostics such as fuel range, tire pressure and oil life, receive personalized retail offers through the AtYourService feature, and send directions to the vehicle’s navigation system.  Customers with an OnStar 4G LTE-equipped vehicle can manage their Wi-Fi hotspot and data plan. Chevrolet owners used the OnStar RemoteLink app more than 50 million times in 2015, totaling more than 6 million requests in the month of November alone.
Plus Chevrolet has won many awards.  Here is the Camaro that won the Motor Trend Car of the Year!
The Colorado won Motor Trend Truck of the Year!
The auto show is such a wonderful way to get to see lots of cars in one place and compare and contrast.
We got to learn about the Chevy Volt electric car.

I was surprised to learn it offers 400 miles with regular charging and can travel more than 1,000 miles on average between gas fill-ups.
 Love this Corvette!
I was surprised with the Impala also.  It is a nice looking car.
I loved the interior on the Impala.
A wonderful resource is SheBuysCars.  The automobile market is not just a man's world.
Here are a couple of other pictures of some eye candy.

It is amazing how far we have come with cars and the cool technology they now have.

Disclosure:  I was provided with media access to the New England Auto Show in addition to compensation for this post as an Ambassador for Chevrolet and She Buys Cars.  As always, all opinions are my own.
