I love traditions and in our family we have a yearly tradition to go to Story Land in Glen, NH. We have been going since 2007 and I was beyond excited when the kids still wanted to go this year. They are 10 and 12 and still had a blast!
Once you enter the park Humpty Dumpty is there to great you.
I love that Story Land is so unique. We were lucky to stay in a Story Land themed room in the Kearsarge Inn and I got to learn a bit about the history. It was first known as "Story Town" and was created by Bob and Ruth Morrell in 1954.
After the first year it was renamed to Story Land as there was already a Story Town in New York. Among the first fixtures was the old woman's oversized shoe.
Also among the first fixtures was the spider descending from the tree to visit Little Miss Muffet.
Growing numbers came to the attraction and it expanded to more than 25 acres of rides.
It really is gorgeous and so well kept.
Now that Ruth and Bob are gone the vision continues with their son Stoney and staff.
The park is so great for little ones but my bigger kids had a blast too. They love riding the Polar Coaster. It is one of their favorites.
Another favorite is the Swan Boats that you drive around.
In their spirit of innovation and keeping the park fresh they had added a roller coaster called Roar-O-Saurus. We loved it.

I was getting a little nostalgic so I went back and made this collage of the kids with Humpty since 2009.

Another addition that was added this year is a Character Cove. It is right near the Oceans of Fun water play area. There are scheduled times to see your favorite Story Land Characters. Here are the kids with Humpty Dumpty.
I personally love Humpty there. He is so adorable!
My daughter is so funny and took a selfie with Humpty. He was happy to oblige.
Here are some pictures through the years of the kids with Humpty Dumpty.
We also saw Rory the Dinosaur. He is super cute. You can see the full schedule here of character appearances.
There is a photographer at this spot that will take a picture and you can purchase it at the front of the park. You can also buy a one day Picture Pass which gives you attractions photo and some other photos with characters. You can read more here.
The photographer was also at the front of the park when we entered. I took all of these photos myself so I can't comment on the new Picture Pass.
Another bonus is that you can enter on one day 3 hours before closing and then come back another full day. What a great deal!!!
Absolutely gorgeous! There are also some cute shows including a Magic Show, Fun Times At Fairy Tale High and more. My kids didn't want to go to the shows but younger kids would definitely enjoy them. You can see the schedule here.
We also went on the Pirate Ship. If you don't Row We Don't Go!
The Bamboo Shoots is another favorite, especially on a hot day.
Ready for the drop!
Here we go!
So pretty!
If the kids are bad just lock them up in Los Bravos Jail.
There is also a ball play area. A perfect spot to duck in to if it rains.
The kids in the train.
Another cute picture spot.
This Clown always cracks us up.
There are also special events going on sometimes, the full schedule is here. The week we were there Justin Gordan was Tree Carving Duke the Dragon. It looked pretty cool.
I guarantee you will have a great time at Story Land!
It will be a day to escape reality and enter a storybook world that the whole family will love!
Disclosure: I was provided with four tickets for my family to go to Story Land for promotional purposes. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
