I have been going to Six Flags New England since I was little and it was Riverside. I am so happy I can now bring my kids there to "Thrill It Up"! We can enjoy rides as a family and also try some of the higher thrill rides. I especially love roller coasters and I am always looking for cool new versions to try out.
There is so much fun for the whole family with a combination of kids ride areas, family rides and thrill rides. They even have an app you can download to find out wait times. I especially liked that to check waits for some of the the thrill rides. Since I saw commercials for The Joker 4D Free Fly Coaster I have been anxiously waiting to go on it. It opened back in March as Six Flags 13th roller coaster and was an amazing and unique ride!
After you head up a 120-foot hill, this 4D Coaster allows you to flip head-over-heels multiple times along the weightless, tumbling journey. The cool thin is it is a winged seat design which has you suspended on the sides of the track allowing you to just see sky and ground. What beautiful views of the park and water park when you are on the ride. It is the first of its kind in New England.
It also has 2wo beyond 90-degree raven drops giving the sensation of free-falling. The line moved pretty fast as there are five vehicles with eight passengers each.
Here you can see some video of the ride.
The kids like the Pandemonium roller coaster. This coaster spins as it goes around the track. Your experience is different each time based on the rate of your spinning.
I also loved Superman The Ride which is an awesome roller coaster that is really long with a huge drop right at the beginning.
Another one of my favorite roller coasters is Goliath! You are hanging from the track which is so cool.
I was right in the front. You can't see me here but I am on the right in the first row. It was such a cool sensation being raised up and then falling first. There are two towers, then on the second tower I was going up first looking at the sky and then falling backwards.
Here are a couple more views.
Look in to their Flash Pass options to save time in line and enjoy more thrills.
So much fun!
We also got to see some fun characters. There are tons of Looney Tunes characters.
You can see the schedule of character appearances right in the app. Or there are signs up. Lauren had to take some selfies.
We also got to see LEGO Batman. It was a Super Heroes weekend when we were there.
Here are some more of the family rides. Here we are on the Tea Cups.
The kids loved the Gotham City Crime Wave Swings.
Feeling like she is flying!
We also went on another newer ride Houdini - The Great Escape. This one was super cool but you have to experience it for yourself. All I can say is I have never been in a house that spins around before.
We also got a super hero case for the kids. They were buy one get one free. Lauren of course got teal which is her favorite color.
She had fun wearing it around.
Hurricane Harbor Water Park is also included in your admission. The kids didn't want to go swimming and on the slides but there is so much to do there!
There were lots of slides and a wave pool.
Tons of places to have fun in the sun. You can see all the attractions in the water park here.
We had such a great day and you will too! There is something for kids and adults of all ages.
Head to Six Flags New England to check out all the fun and Thrill It Up! Also Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park is coming so check out all the events at Six Flags New England.
Disclosure: I was provided with four tickets to Six Flags New England for review purposes. I also received four exit passes to enjoy attractions more quickly. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
Hey Gilda :) Your thought on age range for 6-FLags? Are there rides for the younger set. I feel like we are pushing it out for a couple more years (the girls are 5 (next Monday!) and 7.
