4/21/12: Brain Quest Review

Recently when I was at Toy Fair I got to meet Workman Publishing which is the Publishing company behind Brain Quest, America’s #1 educational bestseller that challenges kids on the stuff they need to know, when they need to know it.  I was able to receive their Fourth Edition 1st and 2nd Grade products for review.  Since Evan is in 1st Grade we focused on that one for now.
Both my husband and I loved the way it was packaged and how convenient the questions are to bring on the road with us.  Evan loved answering questions and at one point we made it a competition between him and his sister.
There are questions in several categories on each card with the next card having the answers.  The categories include Reading, Math, Language Arts, Social Studies, and Miscellaneous.  Brain Quest has products for Grades 1-7, Early Childhood, Workbooks, Math, and Reading.  Plus they have an App coming out on April 26th for grades 1-5 for Free!  Check out their website for more information:

A little more about Brain Quest from the Publisher:
Brain Quest is beloved by kids, trusted by parents, used and recommended by teachers. It’s the curriculum-based, fast-paced, question-and-answer game that challenges kids on the stuff they need to know, when they need to know it. It’s the brand that says “It’s fun to be smart!” And it delivers.
For the fourth edition every deck is thoroughly revised and includes 20 percent new material. The content aligns with national and state standards and is overseen by the Brain Quest Advisory Board, a panel of award-winning educators, each a recent state teacher-of-the-year award winner or a recipient of the prestigious Milken Educator Award. The covers and cards have a refreshed design, giving Brain Quest a cooler, updated look.
