7/17/16: Boston Children's Museum Kid Power!

My kids have enjoyed the Boston Children's Museum for several years.  There is always updates to exhibits and lots of different areas to keep kids entertained.  Plus there is some learning thrown in too!  You could spend the whole day there as there is so much to do and see.
The second you enter the museum a huge climbing structure is in front of you.  This is a great challenge for kids and lots of fun.  I remember when they could barely climb this and now they go all the way up to the top.
It is so cool looking!
There are three floors of different areas of play.  Lauren has always enjoyed the bubble room and headed there next.
She was making some crazy big bubbles.
Working together to make big bubbles.
Evan was excited to head to the room to the right which teaches some cool physics concepts.  Evan was making his own setup to get the golf balls to skip in to a second section and ring a bell.  He got it to work!
I loved that he was helping some of the younger kids with their setups also.
Then we went up to the second floor.  It is funny no matter how old they get they still have fond memories of different areas of the museum and will head there to play.  Here they are working together in the Arthur area kitchen.
They both made me some wonderful creations!
There is a plane there also which the kids took the controls of.
Then we headed to Evan's favorite area, the construction area.  When he was little we would spend hours there.  The kids were so funny posing for me.
This is a picture from a previous visit, as you can see they always have fun posing in this area.  Evan always seems to be peeking out of a tube.
No wonder the Big Dig in Boston took so long with these two on the job!
There was an art area open and they were doing fabric art creations.  Both kids grabbed a piece of cardboard and three pieces of fabric to create something beautiful.
Here you can see some other creations.
We then headed in to the Peep's World water play area.  They worked together which was cool.
Writing with light is always fun.
Here is the Boston Black area.  The kids always go in to the market to play here.
There is also a barber and hair dresser in this area to play in.
There was an area to build in with sticks.
I asked the kids to build me this but they said no.
There is an area to try out some tools.
Lauren climbing in one of the areas.
There is also an area for little kids 3 and under.  Here are some pictures when my kids used to play there.
There is always a new exhibit in one of the areas.  The exhibit right now is Native Voices.
It is in a lovely area in Boston!  There is discounted parking and it only cost me $9 on a Saturday to park.  More information here on discounted parking for the museum.
What a fun museum!  The kids had a blast.
