A Girls Guide To Cars and Honda at the New England Auto Show

Car buying is such a tricky business. Dealing with high pressure sales people is not my idea of a fun day. That is why I love going to the New England International Auto Show to get a look at what is out there. This year I was lucky enough to be invited by A Girls Guide To Cars and Honda Motor Company to attend the Auto Show and learn more about the line of Honda vehicles.
We started out by learning more about the Honda Clarity!  This one is a beauty!  The Honda Clarity Electric Plug In. It is in it's signature blue color which I love! This car will go about 89 miles before needing to be charged. This car seats five and had quite a bit of room inside it. It also has several modes such as normal mode and sport mode.
Next we checked out the Honda Clarity Hybrid which you can plug in or gas up. This one is in a beautiful teal color which is it's signature color. A Girls Guide To Cars has an extensive review on their site which is great to read. It is wonderful seeing options like this coming to consumers. A Girls Guide To Cars is an excellent resource for investigating Car Brands with many extensive reviews including video.
We then moved on to the Honda Odyssey and I was amazed at the features it had and how they took family's needs in to their design. There is even WiFi and power ports at every seat which my kids wuld love! It has Cabin Watch and which allows you to have information displayed in front of you so you can see what is happening in the car. Cabin Talk has a microphone near you so that you can be heard in the back of the Odyssey. There is a Magic Seating arrangement to allow you to configure the two middle row seats. It is super easy to remove the center seat. I vowed when I was younger to never get a mini-van but looking at these great features it is tempting.

We also saw the award winning Accord. It is gorgeous and has Honda Sensing Technology.
With a family safety is key to me so I wanted to go in to the Honda Sensing Technology a bit which includes:
Lane Departure Warning (LDW): LDW can detect unindicated lane departures from detected lanes. Alerts will flash and sound to help bring your attention to correcting the lane drift.
Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS): If your vehicle begins to stray from the center of a detected lane without signaling, the steering adjusts to help bring you back to the lane center.*
Road Departure Mitigation System (RDM): If your vehicle detects that it is drifting too close to the side of the road without a turn signal activated, RDM alerts you with rapid vibrations on the steering wheel and then can provide mild steering input to help keep you on the road or apply braking to help keep you from going off it.
Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC): ACC helps you maintain a set following interval on the highway, so you don’t have to manually change your speed.
Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™): Helps brake the vehicle when it senses an otherwise unavoidable collision with a vehicle detected in front of you.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW) Integrated with the Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™), FCW: Uses a small camera mounted at the top of the front windshield to detect the presence of vehicles in front of you. If the FCW system determines that you are at risk of a collision with a detected vehicle, it activates audio and visual alerts to warn you. If you fail to act, the CMBS™ can automatically apply brake pressure.
Honda LaneWatch™: Any time you signal right, the camera on the passenger-side mirror will turn on and display live video on your Display Audio Touch-Screen, revealing nearly four times more than the average passenger-side mirror.
Blind Spot Information System: When your turn signal is on and a vehicle is detected in an adjacent lane, the indicator blinks and a beep sounds until the area is clear or the turn signal is off.
There are some amazing cars and options out there! Make sure to check out Honda Motor Company and A Girls Guide To Cars to learn more!
