Circuit Cubes STEM Fun

My son loves building. He likes building robots in his VEX Robotics Club at school, and building with LEGOs. I love seeing toys that involve his passions and get him off their electronics. Recently we received Circuit Cubes from Tenka Labs and Evan had fun trying it out.
We received the Bright Lights Kit which comes with a ultra-bright LED cube, Motor Cube and Battery Cube. The Battery is the power supply that drives the Motor to rotate the gears, and lights the LED.
Before starting you will need to charge the blue battery cube so plan ahead to do this in advance of giving this to your child to play with. Here you can see Evan connecting the components to make it light up.
With this kit you can make a cool flashlight with the telescope tube and mylar disks it comes with.
Here is his finished flashlight. You can also put pretty star stickers on the side of the tube or make designs on the mylar disks to project on to surfaces.
Evan said the connections were easy to work with and also loved that he can connect his LEGOs with these components. It also works with Mega Bloks.
Here you can see the components close up. Here Evan is connecting the components up so that the tire will spin from the motor.
Even Shellie are dog was interested in this toy. Especially when it was lit up she liked that.
There are so many options for this kit, there are no limits to what your imagination can build. Here is the kit in the package. You can purchase it on Tenka Labs website or on Amazon.
Disclosure: I received Circuit Cubes Bright Lights for review purposes. I was also compensated for this review. As always all opinions are my own.

Red Sox Family Fun

Growing up in the Boston area has made me a Boston Red Sox fan since I was little. Now my children have become Red Sox fans and have a blast going to Fenway Park. Over the recent years Fenway Park has become even more family friendly and going to a Red Sox game is an amazing experience for the whole family.
Attending a game is more of a family experience now with Gate K for Kids with the Kids Concourse and Wally's Clubhouse.  Wally's sister Tessie also makes appearances in the Kids Concourse. Learn more about the Kids Concourse and Wally's Clubhouse in my previous posts here and here.
Evan loves watching Red Sox Games. We went to see the Red Sox beat the Orioles on Sunday on a very cold day. There was even a bit of snow coming down. We had to go in to the team store to warm up near the heaters but still stayed for the whole game.
The Sox even offered free hot chocolate at this game.
Fun photo ops in the concourse. My Evan has grown so much!
There are also lots of cool giveaways at certain games. You can see the full list here. We received a Chris Sale K counter bobble head which Evan was really excited about as he was on the mound at the game we went to also. He has quite the collection going now of bobble heads from the Red Sox and also some signed baseballs. His prized possession is his signed ball from Pedro Martinez which we went to the Red Sox Winter Weekend at Foxwoods Resort Casino.
We also were invited to Little League Opening Day at Fenway Park and had a blast.
There were activities for the kids, caricatures, balloon animals, free fenway franks, but best of all the ability to go out on to the field, walk the warning track and play ball in the outfield!
It is so awesome being right on the field.
As you entered out on to the field you were given a foam baseball. I knew it would be dangerous if all those kids were throwing real baseballs around, smart move Red Sox.
Evan and Lauren tossing the ball back and forth.
Here are the kids in the dugout.
The kids were so excited.
So beautiful!
Here is a view of the new Jim Beam dugout. Such amazing seats! This is definitely a premium experience. Read more here.
There were lots of photo ops for the kids.
There are lots of cool family theme nights coming up.  On April 29th will be Wally's Birthday Bash where Wally will be hosting his closest friends in the Champions Club for a pre-game food and beverage buffet! The special ticket offer will provide access to the party as well as a great view of the Red Sox taking on the Rays!
On May 1st they will be having a Star Wars Night! Yoda, Leia, Luke Skywalker and more will be in attendance to catch the Red Sox battle the Kansas City Royals. Fans who purchase the special ticket will receive a limited-edition Xando Calrissian, aka Xander Bogarts, bobblehead! On May 20th it will be PJ Masks Night! The Red Sox are offering a VIP celebration with Wally, Tessie, and their special friends, PJ Masks! Tickets include a food and beverage buffet in the Champions Club. After the game, kids will have the opportunity to run the bases at Fenway Park!

Disney Consumer Products Adorable Easter Stitch

Our family loves all things related to Disney.  In fact my daughter loves Stitch!  We make sure to visit him every time we go to Walt Disney World.  When I saw Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media come out with an Easter Stitch I knew she would love it!  Seriously how adorable is he?
He rested well in her Easter Basket.  She immediately screamed when seeing him and grabbed him and gave him a big hug.  He has now been sleeping in her bed since she got him.
I love Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.  Check out this adorable Minnie Mouse!  Shellie our Shetland Sheepdog thinks she is pretty cute too.
Check out all the cool products from Disney Consumer Products on their site:  https://www.shopdisney.com/

Disclosure:  Easter Stitch was received for promotional purposes.  Easter Minnie Mouse was gifted to me from Disney Consumer Products.  No other compensation was received and as always all opinions are my own.

Go See The Big Apple Circus at Assembly Row

Yesterday we had the pleasure of seeing Big Apple Circus in Boston at Assembly Row, Somerville and it was amazing!  It is their 40th Anniversary Season and I feel like the show was better than ever!  There were acts in the show that did things that you have never seen before!  Get your tickets now as they are in town until May 6th with multiple shows on some days.  The perfect outing for a family during April Vacation.
The wonderful thing about this show is that no seat is further than 50 feet from the ring.  The intimate setting is perfect for kids to see all the action.  Plus you can get a great seat for a great price.
Some of our favorite acts were Nik Wallenda and The Fabulous Wallendas doing their famous seven-person pyramid on the high wire!
We always love the horses and ponies.  They are so majestic.  Jenny Vidbel, performs in the ring with 16 horses and ponies.
They are so cute!  There were also pony rides during intermission.
You can tell they love her.
 Beautiful!
She also performs with rescue dogs which is a real crowd pleaser!
There was also a daring quadruple somersault done on the trapeze by The Flying Tunizianis.  Only 9 people in the world can do this.

Award-winning contortionist Elayne Kramer did things that I had never seen before.
She even used a bow and arrow and shot a balloon with her feat!
The master juggler Gamal Garcia was awesome.
Jan Damm on the Rola Bola was amazing too.

Last but not least was the Risley acrobats The Anastasini Brothers (who broke the World Record for Most Flips on November 9, 2017).

The show was led by Ringmaster Ty McFarlan and had fun little interludes with two clowns.
Tickets are on sale at Ticketmaster and BigAppleCircus.com.
You can save 25% on all Opening Week Performances April 7th-13th by using offer code FAMILY25.

Make sure to get tickets now!
Disclosure:  I was provided with four tickets for my family for the show and four tickets to giveaway.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
