Yesterday we had Lauren's 6th birthday party at Ellen's School of Dance where Lauren, Evan and I dance. It was a Monster High theme. All the kids had a lot of fun dressing up, having their makeup done, getting their nails done, playing games, doing crafts, eating pizza and cake, and dancing to Shake It Up: I < 3 Dance from Disney.com/music. What an awesome party!
Here is Lauren with all her guests. Most of them are from her Kindergarten class.
First off the girls all went in to the dressing room to pick fun outfits to dress up in.
Here is the first one Lauren picked.
Having fun playing games with the parachute.
We had recently received Shake It Up: I < 3 Dance and I knew it would get them moving and grooving.
I knew the CD would be a huge hit as Lauren listened to it before the party to approve it. She loved it and couldn't wait to dance with her friends to it. If you have not heard of "Shake It Up" it is a fun show on Disney Channel with Bella Thorne and Zendaya (currently seen on ABC’s "Dancing with the Stars" and is one of the youngest contestants to compete). This is their new Shake It Up: I < 3 Dance soundtrack, from Walt Disney Records.
The soundtrack also features songs by other Disney stars including Selena Gomez, Bridgit Mendler, Roshon Fegan and Caroline Sunshine, in addition to up-and-coming stars Coco Jones, McClain Sisters and more. The Shake It Up: I < 3 soundtrack is currently available for $9.99 on both iTunes and Amazon.com. It is high energy which 6 year little girls are too.
You can check out this Contagious Love Music Video with Zendaya and Bella.
The kids also played freeze dance to it and musical chairs and had so much fun.
Plus they did the limbo too it.
The kids also played London Bridges Falling Down. Evan got a big kick out of this.
So much fun!
Lauren dancing with a new outfit on.
Makeup time! It was hard to get them to sit for this, but since it was makeup and nail polish they did.
Nail polish time!
Craft time!
Pin the bow on the ballet shoe.
Pinata time!
Cake time!
Lauren with her cake.
I made this Monster High Draculaura doll cake. I started with a Barbie doll and looked at the doll to make it look like Draculaua.
Here you can see the doll that I fashioned her after.
Lauren was a happy girl! What a great party. Ellen's School of Dance outdid themselves.
Here is the Shake It Up: I < 3 Dance as packaged. It also comes with stickers.
