The holidays are such a fun time to bond with family and that is exactly what we did tonight at Cirque Dreams Holidaze. As I sat there with Evan's head on my shoulder and watching Lauren clap vigorously for different acts I thought how lucky we are. This show is really amazing and is only at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre in Boston until Sunday, December 11th and I can't wait to see it.
The show is a great combination of cirque acts and wonderful music, decor, costumes and holiday cheer! I never knew that reindeer were so good at jumping rope, penguins had great balance, gingerbread could flip and the holidays could be so rockin'!
The flexibility and amazing acts this cast performed had us in awe. To imagine that someone in pointe shoes could balance on one foot on someone's shoulder was mind blowing. I especially liked that there was always something going on. Even in the background of the main act there was lots of excitement and holiday fun happening.
The singing was beautiful too. The music was really good throughout the whole show. Plus there were so many moments throughout the show that you watched in disbelief at what the cast was doing. A really memorable experience for the whole family!
More information about the show:
The show is an endless variety of imaginative, heart-pounding and gravity- defying feats you have to see to believe. Experience gingerbread men flipping midair, toy soldiers marching on thin wires along with snowmen, icemen and penguins, balancing, jumping and spinning in disbelief. The show celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with singers, choreography and exciting production numbers. Performers and costumed ornament characters twirl, bounce and soar thru the air to original music and seasonal favorites brought to life within a stage setting of gigantic gifts, colossal candy canes and 30-foot towering trees and soldiers creating a larger than life wonderland of amazement.
Tickets are available for Cirque Dreams Holidaze at the Boch Center Box Office, Bochcenter.org, or by calling (866) 348-9738.
