We were extremely lucky to be able to go to The Sound of Music at the Boch Center Wang Theatre on opening night. One word for it "Wow!" Both my husband and I thought it was amazing! It is here for a limited two week engagement May 1st - 13th so get your tickets now.
My husband has always loved The Sound of Music so when I heard it was coming to Boston I knew he would want to go. First off Maria who was played by Jill-Christine Wiley. She did an amazing job with the part. She was so believable and had a wonderful singing voice. I was very impressed by her interactions with the children.

Next up Mike McLean as Captain Georg Von Trapp. At first I thought he was good but nothing stood out for me until he sang Edelweiss and then I saw his strength. He was wonderful!
Lauren Kidwell was another standout to me as The Mother Abbess. Her voice was unbelievable. So powerful and beautiful.
The Von Trapp children were so awesome. Each acted their part so well. I especially love when they sing Goodnight Farewell.

The backdrops were also amazing. I loved the church scene during the wedding. The depth shown in the scenes was gorgeous.
This is definitely a show not to be missed!
