12/11/16: Charmingfare Farm Lighted Winter Wonderland Holiday Fun

I love going to holiday events with the family!  Last night we went to Charmingfare Farm in Candia, NH for their Lighted Winter Wonderland experience and had a blast.  It is a horse-drawn ride through light displays and ends in the North Pole.
Here you can see the horses ready to go.
The horses were so beautiful.
When you purchase your tickets they are for a certain time but that is just to control the amount of people.  Once you arrive you head to the bonfire area and wait to board.  We only had to wait for one cycle to go.  Make sure to dress warm and also bring a blanket to wear on the ride.
As you travel you see beautiful light displays.
Here we are entering the North Pole!
Here is the sign welcoming us to the North Pole.
There are many characters there to greet you!  Here are the kids with Frosty.  He was my favorite.  He was frozen in place and so cute!
Of course you need to see Rudolph!
How cute is this tall teddy bear?
I love this welcoming Santa house.  What a great place to take a picture.
There is also a bonfire there to  keep you warm.  You can also purchase stuff to make Smores.
A big Gingerbread Man!
There is even a few real reindeer.  You can purchase food for the reindeer also.
We also checked out some of their farm animals.  Check out this awesome cow Audrey!
We also saw a cool Alpaca!
There are more details on their website for dates, hours, and pricing.
Order your tickets to Santa's Big Party online and use promo code: santa 16 you will SAVE $5 per person.
Make sure you check out Charmingfare Farm this holiday season!
Disclosure:  I was provided with tickets to Charmingfare Farm from being in the US Family Guide Blogger Network.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

12/10/16: Macy's Gifts for Everyone on Your List

I still have quite a bit of Christmas shopping to do so today I headed to one of my favorite stores to shop at, Macy's!  I have been shopping at Macy's since I was a young child and it was Jordan Marsh here in Boston.  I even registered there when I got married.  This store has you covered for holiday gifts for everyone on your list.
Our store has three floors of lots of merchandise for everyone on your holiday list!  Plus the deals all over the store were amazing!  I saw so many signs of 50 and 60% off!  I love deals.  In fact I rarely buy anything that isn't on sale.
I love these pajamas for the family!
They even have decorations for your Christmas tree and home!
I personally was shopping for the kids so I headed to the Children's Department.
Is this every boy's dream or what?  I don't know about your kids but my son is all about Under Armour!  Plus they were all 25% off!
I got Evan a winter jacket that was 60% off!  Plus when I got to the register they also applied a $10 off $50 code even though I didn't have the coupon.  The sales associates were so nice.
There were also lots of sports related boys shirts which is totally what Evan is in to.
My kids are too old for this section but I had to take a peek at all the cute clothes for babies and toddlers!
Now this is exactly what Lauren would wear!
She loves leggings with prints like this.
There were also beautiful dresses.
I love this one!
I decided to get Lauren these pajamas as she loves to dance and they were 60% off!
I love these fuzzy jackets and vests and they were all 50% off!
If you can't decide what to get there are always gift certificates for a perfect fit for everyone on your list.
I love the house wears section.  We got all our China from here and our silver.
They also have awesome makeup and cleansers.
Make sure to check out your local Macy's this holiday season!

12/9/16: Cirque Dreams Holidaze Holiday Fun

The holidays are such a fun time to bond with family and that is exactly what we did tonight at Cirque Dreams Holidaze.  As I sat there with Evan's head on my shoulder and watching Lauren clap vigorously for different acts I thought how lucky we are.  This show is really amazing and is only at the Boch Center Shubert Theatre in Boston until Sunday, December 11th and I can't wait to see it.
The show is a great combination of cirque acts and wonderful music, decor, costumes and holiday cheer!  I never knew that reindeer were so good at jumping rope, penguins had great balance, gingerbread could flip and the holidays could be so rockin'!
The flexibility and amazing acts this cast performed had us in awe.  To imagine that someone in pointe shoes could balance on one foot on someone's shoulder was mind blowing.  I especially liked that there was always something going on.  Even in the background of the main act there was lots of excitement and holiday fun happening.
The singing was beautiful too.  The music was really good throughout the whole show.  Plus there were so many moments throughout the show that you watched in disbelief at what the cast was doing.  A really memorable experience for the whole family!
More information about the show:
The show is an endless variety of imaginative, heart-pounding and gravity- defying feats you have to see to believe.  Experience gingerbread men flipping midair, toy soldiers marching on thin wires along with snowmen, icemen and penguins, balancing, jumping and spinning in disbelief.  The show celebrates the most wonderful time of the year with singers, choreography and exciting production numbers.  Performers and costumed ornament characters twirl, bounce and soar thru the air to original music and seasonal favorites brought to life within a stage setting of gigantic gifts, colossal candy canes and 30-foot towering trees and soldiers creating a larger than life wonderland of amazement.
Tickets are available for Cirque Dreams Holidaze at the Boch Center Box Office, Bochcenter.org, or by calling (866) 348-9738.
There are shows on the following days and times:
Saturday, December 10, 2016 at 11:00AM, 3:00PM and 7:30PM

12/7/16: Brackitz Driver Set Building Fun

Evan loves building cars of any kind.  He loves to race them and make different designs to see how they perform.  When I saw the new line of Brackitz Driver Sets I knew that they would be a hit with him.
These awesome construction lines are made in the USA.  They are also very durable.  Evan was having a blast putting them together.  They snap together very easily.
This new Driver Kit includes 43 pieces, which includes 4 wheels.  Evan started by building a few of the 10 driving machines they provide directions for and then he got creative and did his own thing.  The nice thing about this toy is it is good for many ages.  The pieces are large enough for Pre-K kids but also good for older kids.  I found myself playing with them too.
Here you can see the pieces it comes with.  There is also a Driver Expansion Pack you can purchase to add on to the set.
Evan had a blast and I know your children will too.
Here it is as packaged.  It retails for $24.99.  You can purchase it directly from the Brackitz website here:  https://brackitz.com/collections/driver-sets/products/driver-set
You can also find them in many major retailers including Amazon.

12/2/16: WowWee Mini MiPosaur

Next up in my Holiday Gift Guide is a fun little inexpensive gift from WowWee called the Mini MiPosaur.  It is a small little remote controlled dinosaur.
Here is the Mini Dinosaur.
The remote control has two buttons.  One to make the dinosaur go forward and one to spin around.  It seemed to respond pretty well to the remote control.
The kids had fun watching our new puppy chase it around.  She was quite amused with the toy.
It did work on our rug however it worked much better on the hard wood floor.
Here it is as packaged.  It retails for $19.99.  Check out all of WowWee's Toys here:  http://wowwee.com/
