8/26/12: Water Country Have Some Fun!

We went to Water Country in Portsmouth, NH recently and the kids had a great time.  I had not been since I was in High School and I won't tell you how many years ago that was.  A lot has changed, or it could be that I am viewing it from a parent's eyes now too.
There really are a lot of areas that are great for little ones, it is not all just big slides.  Here is the Pirate Ship play area for kids.
Lauren sliding down the slide in this area.
Another favorite of the kids was the lazy river that you grab a tube and float down the river.  Evan also really loved the wave pool.  It has several different depths so even younger kids could go in.
The discount I provided earlier is still good through Labor Day.  Receive $3.00 off each full priced ticket you buy, up to 7 tickets.  Just print the coupon here.
This was also a favorite of ours.  We went down the tan slide on the raft and the whole family went together.  It was so much fun drifting down the slide all together.  Even my 5 year old daughter was a little tentative but then loved it.
Evan went on this slide with John.  Here they are coming down.  This was another nice thing, on some of the slides you could ride down in a double tube like this so Evan felt more comfortable going with someone.
Here is another kids area.
This is a slide that just opened this year called Dr. Von Dark's Tunnel of Terror.  It had a really long line so if you want to do this one, do it early in the day.
This one is the Geronimo and literally goes straight down.
This one you ride on a little mat.
This is a more family friendly slide.  John and Evan did it.  The easiest one is the pink and the hardest is the yellow.  John did the yellow and said it was slow and easy.  Evan liked the pink too.
What a great place.  Water Country, Water Country, Have Some Fun!  Have I got the jingle in your head?

Disclosure:  I received a family four pack of passes to Water Country in exchange for this post.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
