3/20/13: Crafty Bands Charm Bracelets for Kids

We love making crafts that are personalized.  What better craft to make than a custom charm bracelet?  We were lucky enough to try out Epiphany Crafts custom charm bracelets for kids called Crafty Bands. This would be a perfect item for Easter Baskets.  My daughter loves making them and wearing them.
We received the Crafty Bands Jewelry Making Kit which comes with all the supplies to make 20 charms and 4 bracelets.  You can see the circular Shape Studio Tool which reminds me of the cropping tools I use for scrap booking.  They are super easy to make.  You can either use pictures as we did or your child could color paper, or even cut out of magazines to make the charm.  They have a Picto-Gizmo online that allows you to edit pictures to the perfect size but I had a tool that came with our printer that made it easy for me to print the pictures in the right size.
Once you pick what you would like to make the charm out of.  You just need to put that in to the cutting device and put one of the bubble caps over it.
You then close the lid and push down.  This allows the item to be cut in to the perfect size and adhered to the bubble cap.  Lauren had no problem pressing down to create the charm.
After you remove it you just need to add one of the adhesive squares it comes to on to the charm and attach it to the Crafty Snap Setting.
The charms then literally just snap in to place with the backing piece.  The set we got came with pink, purple, blue and green.  Lauren loves purple and pink so she decided to combine these two colors.
Look at how adorable these bracelets came out!  We decided to use pictures and they are super cute.  I would like to wear them.  Then you can exchange charms with friends.
Here is the Crafty Bands Jewelry Making Kit as packaged.  This is the Starter Kit that retails for $29.95.  I love that they have refill packs that come with 4 crafty bands and 20 Crafty Snaps for $6.99.  The pack of 20 bubble caps is $4.99.
