12/8/14: Disney Infinity 2.0 Fun With Marvel Super Heroes

We our a Disney family.  We love the Disney Parks, Disney toys , Disney on Ice and of course Disney Video Games.  The kids were very excited to receive the Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes 2.0 Starter Pack as we enjoyed the original Disney Infinity so much.  This is my next item on your "must have" Holiday List.

We received the PlayStation 3 version Starter Set which includes Thor, Iron Man and Black Widow plus 2 Game disks.  There are many more Marvel Super Heroes in the collection.   I love that there are options to own Disney Infinity 2.0.  If you have Disney Infinity you can download the 2.0 Toy Box Digital Download for $29.99.  You are able to use your existing base and figures.  Evan got right in to game play.

The nice thing about the 2.0 version is that all of the characters and power disks you already have from the first version is compatible with 2.0.  This is good news for us as we have a ton of them.

I love the Sorcerer Mickey Mouse.  My son's favorite are Cars and my daughter's favorites are Anna and Elsa of course.

Plus the all-new Toy Box mode that makes it easier for players to create and share their one-of-a-kind levels and mini-games with family and friends. Toys that you have unlocked in the Disney Infinity Toy Box will be unlocked in the 2.0 version.

The graphics are amazing and the interaction is so cool.  Evan likes that you can fly around.

It is a nice mix of characters and may appeal to an older child demographic.  My son likes it, but my daughter still prefers the core Disney characters.  I have already purchased Stitch for her as I know she will love him as he is her favorite character.

Evan and my husband have definitely played it the most.  I personally love the Toy Box most as you can just create on your own.

10/24/13: Disney Infinity Must Have Holiday Gift

Our family loves anything Disney.  Disney Parks, Disney toys, Disney on Ice, and Disney Video Games.  We were lucky enough to receive the Disney Infinity Starter Pack and it is my next item on your "must have" Holiday List.  My son, daughter and husband have been playing it every day and love it.

We have had many Disney video games including Epic Mickey, Cars Race-O-Rama, Mater's Tall Tales game, Toy Story, Toy Story 2, and Just Dance: Disney Party.  As much as we have loved those games, this by far has been our families favorite.

I love that it incorporates many different beloved characters from Walt Disney and Pixar Animation Studios' most popular films.  The "Disney Infinity Base" activates original, story-driven adventures in the game worlds, also known as “Play Sets,” of "Monsters University," "Pirates of the Caribbean" "The Incredibles," “Cars” and “The Lone Ranger.”  The starter set comes with Captain Jack Sparrow, Sulley and Mr. Incredible.  

As you advance through each adventure you can collect gadgets, characters and upgrades to save to a virtual "Toy Box".  It allows you to create your own adventures.  

Characters can exist outside of their regular scenes and work together. 

 I find that Evan loves playing with Captain Jack Sparrow.  He loves boats and loves playing where he can steer the ship and shoot canons.  He is constantly asking me to come see the cool things he is doing in the game.

I love the arena area.  All of the backdrops and graphics are really amazing.  We have the game for PlayStation 3 and it looks phenomenal on our TV.

I love that the game gives you infinite possibilities in game play.  Especially as they expand Play Sets.

Love it!

Initially there will be 40 interactive figures including characters, Play Set pieces and power disks.  They will be releasing more over time.  With the Play Sets and figures it will allow you to evolve the game over time and get your child's favorites.  Here are all the characters.

Mr. Incredible is pretty fun to play with.  Evan likes his super strength.  

He also really enjoys playing the Monsters University scenes of the game.  Sulley can go around campus and pull pranks and try and scare people.

We love Cars!  The movies are amazing and I think my son owns every single Cars vehicle that was ever made.  We were extremely lucky to receive the Cars Play Set also with Lightning McQueen and Holly Shiftwell.

Evan got right to racing with his sister with this game.  He absolutely loves it.  I asked him to compare it to his other Cars video games and he said he loves this one more as he can do more.

He has his race face on.

He loves seeing additional functionality unlocked.

Radiator Springs is beautiful.

I often time seeing him playing with the figures also.

2/16/14: Disney Side At Home Celebration Fun

I love all that is Disney!  We go to Disney Parks every year, we love watching Disney movies and most of all we love sharing our Disney enthusiasm with all of our friends.  I was extremely lucky to be selected by Disney Parks and MomSelect to host a #DisneySide @Home Celebration.

 We received lots of goodies to facilitate our party.  It included HP Paper, Ocean Spray treats, Luggage from American Tourister, recipes and measuring cups from The Chew, Mickey cookie cutters, Muppets calendars, a Story app iPhone Case, Disney Parks DVD, Run Disney Posters and bracelets, Party supplies, balloons, Mickey and Minnie posters, activities, and recipes.

Here you can see the Luggage.  It is so beautiful.  I love the color!  American Tourister has some beautiful luggage that lets you show your Disney Side.  Plus they are the official luggage of Walt Disney World and Disneyland.

Here are Evan and Lauren all dressed up and ready to party.  We decided to have the kids dress up.  So here is Princess Belle and Woody.

This could be one of my favorite pictures, the kids put Mickey at the door looking out waiting for the guests to come and Fred our dog joined him.

I made these super cute cupcakes.  They were so easy to make.  I just used one large oreo and two smaller oreos to make them look like Mickey.  I did red and pink to signify Mickey and Minnie.

Here is the adults table.  I put out my Disney scrapbooks for people to check out.

We even had juice and snacks that had Disney characters on them.

We decided to also incorporate Disney Infinity in to the party.  The kids love playing it.

They were very excited to show their friends all of their characters and show them the game.  My kids play Disney Infinity a lot.  They love it!  See this post for more information on the game.

There were princesses every where.

Plus pirates and a cowboy.

I put on the Disney Parks video and we went around the room and said what our favorite Disney character is and talked about our favorite ride.

The kids were having a great time playing together.  Plus we had the Frozen soundtrack playing in the background which is such a popular movie and we all love the songs.

I loved listening to their answers to the questions.  I learned many like Minnie Mouse, and many like Space Mountain.  Space Mountain is my favorite ride but Mickey will always be my favorite.  See this post on how Mickey Mouse will always have my heart.

The kids decided to hide eggs for the boys and girls.  The boys had to find a Cars egg and the girls had to find a Princess one.

I love that the kids came up with their own games.

Then it was time for some snacks.

What a great excuse to get the kids together for some fun.

Then they got to eat the Mickey and Minnie cupcakes.

The kids had so much fun.  I hope they got to feel a little of the Disney Magic at my house.
