12/9/15: Minnie Mouse Bows-A-Glow Review

We love anything Disney and my daughter loves plush toys.  We were very lucky to receive the Minnie Bows-A-Glow from Just Play.  Not only is she is adorable but her bow lights up and she sings when you press her tummy.
Here you can see her bow all lit up.  It changes colors and flashes while she sings along.  I must say her little song got in to my head.  "Hello, hello have you seen my bow?  It's magic lights dance, dance so bright".  After a while she also said I love you.
She takes three Triple A batteries which are included.  She also has an off button on her back which makes it easy to turn off when playtime is over.  Also Minnie will shut off on her own after about 30 seconds of non-interaction.
She cozied right up to our Santa Mickey Mouse.  I think she was happy to see someone familiar.  Her dress is really pretty and sparkly along with her shoes.
Fred our dog liked to cuddle with Minnie Mouse too.  She is very soft.
What a super cute toy for kids!  Any girl knows it is all about the bows!  Suggest retail price is $24.99.

11/15/15: Disney Live! Three Classic Fairy Tales Review

I love Disney and any chance I get to bring the magic to us I take advantage of.  Over the weekend we got to go to Disney Live! Three Classic Fairy Tales at the Tsongas Center.  What a super cute show.
There were many kids dressed up as their favorite princesses or characters.  It was really cute.  The show started out with my favorites Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck.
Looking at their magical book they bring three fairy tales to life.
The first is Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.
 Oh no the Wicked Queen!
There were lots of cool special effects with fog, lighting, and the mirror.
I love the Seven Dwarfs.  They were so adorable.
They lived happily ever after.  So happy the Prince found Snow White and woke her.
Next was Cinderella.  This is one of my favorites.  I loved seeing Gus the mouse in this one.  Here is Cinderella with the Fairy God Mother.
Oh no, the evil step sisters!  They were hysterical and acted just like the characters from the movie.  I loved their dress bouncing up and down in the back as they walked.
So happy Cinderella made it to the ball.
Then there was a short intermission before the end of Cinderella's story.  Mickey and his pals came out to tell us it was time to take a break.
Last but not least was Beauty and the Beast.  This is another one of my favorites.
Gaston is so funny!  I love his acting.
Be Our Guest had to be sung before serving Belle her dinner.  The kids loved it and so did I.
There may be something there that wasn't there before.  The Beast and Belle together.
After the transformation.  Belle and the Prince.
A wonderful finale with everyone in their beautiful clothes.
Even Mickey and Minnie are all fancy.
What a great show!  Make sure to check it out when it comes to your town.  Full Schedule here:  http://www.disneylive.com/three-classic-fairy-tales
Here is a video trailer.

9/28/15: Evan in Disney's Hollywood Studios Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show

We recently went to Walt Disney World and had a wonderful time as always.  This visit was a little bit more magical as Evan was selected to be in the Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show.  This was a once in a lifetime experience and one that he was very lucky to be selected for.
Every time we go to Disney's Hollywood Studios we make sure to check the schedule for Lights, Motors, Action! Extreme Stunt Show as it only happens a couple times a day.  This is Evan's favorite show at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  We headed over to the show about a half hour early to make sure we got a good seat.
We had awesome seats.  We were up maybe 6 rows and right in the middle of the stadium.  Honestly we were just lucky to get the seats we got.  When you enter Cast Members direct you to which entrance you will go in through.  We were directed to the middle.  This was the first time we went in through the middle.  It is a huge stadium that fills up for each show.
We love the show and we were well aware that they call one child up from the audience to be in the show.  Our seats were in line with a row that had a small door and said Cast Members only and we were on the left of the door when looking at the stands.  When the video person started aiming the camera around our row I made sure to point to Evan and Evan stood up and raised his hands.  We couldn't believe he got picked!  I am not sure if this is always the section they take a volunteer from, but for us we were in the exact row that the camera man was aiming at when picking someone.
This is the part of the show where a child gets to drive a real car via remote control.
Here they are describing to Evan what he will do.
Now Evan is using the remote control to control the car.
The coolest thing is that you get a special pin that only can be obtained by being the guest driver in this show.
So cool that he is up on the big screen.
Here is a close up of the pin.
Evan being brought back to his seat.
He was so excited and people were even coming up to him in the park that recognized him from the show.  He felt like a celebrity.
Here is Evan with one of the guys from the show.
Here is some video.
Here is the Finale, I think the flames look like a Mickey Mouse head.  So cool!  Another Hidden Mickey!
What an amazing experience and an absolutely magical day!

2/22/15; DisneySide At Home Celebration

I am a bit of a Disney Parks fanatic.  I love going to them, talking about them and helping others plan vacations.  In fact this past year I applied to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and made it all the way to round 4 which was quite an accomplishment as the search started with about 15,000 and I made it to Round 4 with about 100.  I unfortunately did not make the panel but the Disney Parks gave me another opportunity to share my Disney love by having a #DisneySide @Home Celebration.
It was a wonderful opportunity to invite some of the kids friends over and have them show off their #DisneySide.

This was our third Disney Parks at home celebration.  Here you can see a recap of last year, and here was our party from 2010.
There were so many great sponsors included in the Party Pack that I received including HP, all laundry detergent, Duff's Cake Mix, Snuggle Fabric Softner, Disney Palace Pets, Wisk Deep Clean, and some great Mickey and Minnie party supplies.  A big thanks to MomSelect and Disney Parks for giving me this awesome opportunity.
First was the preparation for the party.  I love cake decorating so I was very excited to try out Duff's Tie Dye Cake Mix.  I love watching Duff Till Dawn, and the Kids Baking Championship and admire the work that Duff does.  This cake is so fun to make for the kids and I.  You make the batter and then break it in to six containers.  Each container gets mixed with included food coloring to make these cool colors.
Then you pour it little by little to get a tie dye effect.
Here it is after being baked.
I decided to frost it with some fun colors and then add on some Disney characters that we had from previous parties.
Then the kids started arriving.  The boys got right to the snacks and playing Disney Infinity.
Disney Infinity is a big hit with my kids and you can see previous reviews here on the 1.0 and 2.0 versions.
The girls broke in to snacks too but couldn't wait to paint their nails.
We received these cool Disney nail polishes.

The girls were really silly and ready to start picking their colors.
They got right to work painting away.
They were very proud of their newly painted nails.
Then all the kids decided it was time to play some pin the Mickey Mouse mouth on Mickey.
Of course the boys had fun spinning their friends.
Too funny!
Even our dog Fred got in to the fun showing his #DisneySide by wearing some Minnie Mouse ears.
Next was time for cake.  Everyone was very excited as they had seen the cake and couldn't wait to eat it.

Here you can see the tie dye inside.
Then they went right back to games.
The girls also played Go Fish with Disney cards.
Lauren liked leading a Disney Trivia game.
I am dog tired now but what a fun time and great to talk Disney Parks with friends.
Disclosure:  I received a party kit from MomSelect and the Disney Parks to have the #DisneySide @Home Celebration.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
