12/20/12: Heelys Socialite Cute Shoes for Girls

I posted previously about back to school Heelys.  The last post was about a pair of Heelys for boys but this time I wanted to highlight a cool looking pair of Heelys for girls.
How cute are these Heelys style Socialite?  They are designed like Mary Janes and with the purple flower my daughter was in love!  You probably expect designs that look like sneakers from Heelys but I bet you didn't expect this super cute design.
They are super cute.  Heelys are for the whole family.  I have a pair, Evan has a pair and now Lauren has a pair.
Lauren showing me how awesome they look.
Here are Lauren and Evan showing off their super cool Heelys.
Lauren showing me how she can skate with her Heelys.  She needs some practice but she especially enjoyed when I held both of her hands and she could slide between my legs.  She was giggling away and saying again, again.
It was super easy to pop in the wheels and take them off.  There is even an instructional video online.
You can purchase Heelys through Heelys' online shop http://shop.heelys.com/, as well as through popular online retailers, such as Zappos and Amazon.

8/24/12: Back to School with Heelys New Styles

I posted previously about Heelys for adults, now with back to school I thought I would post about Heelys for kids.  Heelys has come out with a great Fall 2012 designs.  My son is a fan of cars in general so I opted for the Spin ones that are a car design.
These are especially for kids and are HX2s which means they have 2 wheels in each shoe making it easier for younger kids to skate.
It was super easy to pop in the wheels for him to try them out.  My son was 7 and doing a lot of goofing around with his friends when trying them out.  We all watched the instructional video online so it was funny watching his sister and friends trying to tell him the right way to do it.
Of course you have to fall at least once.
Even Fred our dog was watching him.
Here is a short video of him trying them out.  Note he is 7 and loves to be funny on camera.

Here he is when he tried them on inside.  He really likes the way they look.
Here are a few more pictures of them close up.  They really are well built sneakers plus they light up red and blue.
The front view.

MORE PRODUCT INFORMATION:
HEELYS: MSRP: $47.00 and up
Heelys are the original shoes with wheels in the heels that allow the user to transition from a walk to a roll by shifting the weight to the heel. Users can also transform Heelys into street shoes by removing the wheels. An instructional video on how to get started can be found at www.Heelys.com.

HX2: MSRP: $54.99 and up
Heelys HX2 has two removable wheels in each shoe, making it ideal for younger kids and beginners. Not only is it easier to maintain balance, but the HX2 also does not require as much leg strength to lift up your toes to skate. When you get the hang of skating, convert the HX2 into a normal pair of Heelys by removing the front wheel. Pull out both wheels, and the HX2 becomes a normal pair of street shoes.

NANO: MSRP: $85.00
The Nano™ was designed in house at Heelys® and works by simply removing the wheel from one of the Heelys skate shoes and snapping the patented wheel bracket into the Sole-Link™, like a ski or snowboard binding. For use on a single foot, the innovative board thrills the user with the same sensations and freedoms felt while slalom skiing and wakeboarding. The Nano™ lets skaters move farther, faster and longer than ever before.

9/1/11: Back to School with Heelys!

I am sure you have all seen kids walking along and that start rolling and know about Heelys.  Did you know there are Heelys for adults?  I was lucky enough to receive a pair to review.  I ended up picking the Heelys Wave which had several variations, so I let Lauren pick the color, hence the purple.  I love them.
Here are mine when they arrived, as you can see the tool to detach the bottom plate between the shoes.  The rollers are also attached.
When they arrive the bottom has a black panel on it that you remove to put the rollers on.
I wore them as regular sneakers first to Chuck e Cheese just to try them out and loved how comfortable they are, and how well made.
I really enjoyed wearing them and I thought they looked great.  I haven't roler skated since the days I used to go with my friends to Roller Kingdom and Wallecks back in the day, so I thought rolling on them would be interesting.  It wasn't as bad as I thought, but it may take me a bit to get used to.  I looked on their website and found General Heelys Skating Info which includes How-to videos on “Heeling”.
They have such cute styles for kids.  I love these ones for boys that have two wheels to make it a bit easier for them.
And this super cute pair for girls.
I can't wait to get the kids a pair, and right now is the perfect time.  Heelys is throwing a Labor Day/Back-to-School special!! Between Sept 2-Sept 5, Buy one pair of Heelys, get the second pair for only $30!  And you guys are extra lucky to be reading this post as Heelys is being nice enough to also offer free shipping using the code HeelysLovesBloggers. Just enter the code in the Discount Code box. (Please note that this code is only available during the Back-to-School special.)
They also have a inline footboard made exclusively for Heelys.  This looks really cool.

So why not show your kids you can be cool too and get some exercise and have some fun as a family heeling around!
