12/11/14: BJ's Wholesale for the Holidays

I was invited to BJ's for a Holiday Preview Event recently and learned that they have everything to make your holiday perfect.  Everything you see in this post can be found at BJs.  They may be a warehouse club but they are catering now to the every week shopper with smaller sizes.  They have lovely gifts and decorations for the holidays.
I had no idea you could outfit your whole holiday table with wonderful items from BJ's.  Their appetizers, chocolates and treats were so good.
These were absolutely amazing!  These are J Scott Bacon Wrapped Scallops and Lobster Crostini.  Perfect for your holiday gatherings.
Another way to make your holidays easier is with pre-made meals.  These are new at BJ's and were really good.  We got to try the Chicken Cordon Bleu and the whole family gave it a thumbs up.  It was super easy as all I needed to do was heat it up.
There are several options.
Even Turkey Wraps, Mac and Cheese and more.
Plus there are gifts for everyone on your list for great prices.  Here is the Nurti Ninja personal blender.
They have the new cool curved TVs and when I was there they had an instant $800 off!
They even have Nikon cameras.  The nice thing about the cameras is that they came with a bundle including accessories.
Trying to get more fit in the new year, UP by Jawbone tracks your daily fitness and sleep activities.  It also had an instant savings.  These are great for so many people.
Super cute party host gifts.
They even have gifts for the pooch in your life.  I know our dog Fred would love these gourmet cookies.
There are also tons of the hottest toys.
You can even get your Christmas Tree there.  They had several lovely options.
They also have tons of decorations, lights and more.
Beautiful gift wrap, tags and cards.
There is so much at BJ's this holiday season.  Check them out!  Plus you can get a trial membership for the holidays free to try them out.
Disclosure:  I received a gift bag from BJ's for promotional purposes.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

8/15/13: Back to School With BJ's

We have been shopping at BJ's Wholesale Club in Hudson, MA at Highland Commons.  Wholesale Clubs used to be all about bulk quantities and the average small household couldn't shop at them.  BJ's is not just for bulk products, you can do your weekly shopping there and save a lot of money.  I was invited to a recent event there and was excited to see all of the Back to School products they have.
I love lunch kits and it makes it so easy to pack a nutritious lunch and snack for your children.  Especially this Rubbermaid container below.  The blue portion is put in the freezer to keep things cool.
There are tons of great items including markers, crayons, pens, pencils, folders, etc.  For those of you who have kids going to college, they have tons of cool dorm room products also.  Their seasonal aisles are always so fun to check out as you never know what you will find.
Look at how cute these items are.
I also received one of these great backpacks which Lauren was excited about as it is Purple.
talked about the produce earlier.  They have a huge selection!
Plus they support local farmers.  I loved seeing the locally grown symbol on vegetables.
Look at this beautiful pasta.  They are constantly working with new vendors to bring great products to their stores.
They even have Barney Butter Almond Butter.  This was just in.  They also have a ton of Organic products for great prices.
Even camping equipment is sold there.  We bought our swing set there.
The BJ's social media team was wonderful and showed us some cool easy sandwiches to make for lunches.
Did you know that BJ's always has an area at the front of the store with coupons that are changed out ever 2 weeks?  These are BJ's coupons along with a Booklet that is mailed to members.  But you can also use manufacturer's coupons with the BJ's coupons for more savings!  BJ's is the only wholesale club to do this!

Some tips on using coupons at BJ's:
- When purchasing a multi-pack of “individual for sale” packaged items, which is a set of items that could be sold individually (each item has a barcode) shrinkwrapped and sold together, shoppers can combine one BJ’s-issued coupon with manufacturers’ coupons. However, you cannot exceed the actual retail price in the
total value of coupons.
Other examples of a multipack:
-  Three-pack of toothpaste
-  Two-pack of salad dressing
Examples of products that are NOT a multipack:
-  Box of cereal that contains two bags (the bags cannot be sold individually)
-  Case of water
-  In terms of manufacturer’s coupons that are ‘buy one, get one free’ BJ’s will honor the coupon for items in stock as long as BJ’s price does not exceed the maximum value stated on the coupon. If the manufacturer’s coupon does not state the maximum value then BJ’s cannot honor the coupon.

12/8/12: Gingerbread House Kit from BJ's and Gift Card Giveaway

CONTEST CLOSED: CONGRATULATIONS TO BETTY FOR WINNING!
One of our favorite holiday activities is making a Gingerbread House.  It is fun decorating the house and displaying them with our holiday decorations.  This year we received a Gingerbread House from BJ's and I have a giveaway for you for a $25 Gift Card to BJ's so you can make your very own.
Here is the kit we received with what is included.  All the Gingerbread House pieces are pre-made with lines for windows, door and scalloping on the roof.  Plus it comes with a Christmas Tree to decorate made of Gingerbread, candy and frosting.
Plus right now BJ’s Wholesale Club is also offering a Free 60-Day Trial Membership to make holiday shopping easy, which can be activated until December 31.  The risk-free, trial membership includes full member benefits including savings and no surcharge.
Here is Evan putting the frosting on to get all the pieces put together.  It stayed together really well with the frosting we received
I like that it also comes with this stand to put the house in to.  This is the first time I had used a kit that had this cool stand.  The pieces fit nicely in to the slots and you can setup everything on top of it.
Here are the kids decorating it.  Note the Peeps Snowmen did not come with the set.  I bought those separately.
Making sure the roof looks perfect.
Now time to decorate the tree.  I like the jelly pieces that come with it as they are shaped as hearts.
Evan added a chocolate Santa to the side that we had.  We also used some extra candy we had left over from Halloween (yes we still had candy) to decorate the tree with some M&Ms.
I think we did pretty good.  Our candy canes were a bit broken so we used those for the door.  That was a great idea by Evan.  Thanks to BJ's for this awesome kit!

7/20/12: BJ's Wholesale Club With Great Back to School Products

We absolutely love shopping at BJ's Wholesale Club.  We started shopping there when we had our first child and would buy Diapers and Wipes in bulk.  But BJ's is really so much more.  It is not just bulk products, you can also get smaller quantity items, and lots of great products for back to school which will be here before you know it.
Today I was invited to an event at the new BJ's in Hudson, MA at Highland Commons.  It is an absolutely beautiful new club.
First off we learned of all their great back to school products for little ones all the way through college students.  The section is front and center when you enter the club.  There are tons of great items including markers, crayons, pens, pencils, folders, etc.
How cute would this be as a treat to give one of your children's teachers for their students to start the year out right?  Another point our host brought up is that you could go to BJ's and buy your child's teacher a pack of Clorox disinfecting wipes.  This is the most requested item from teachers!
Check out how awesome these Angry Birds Folders/Notebook Sets are.  I did pick one of these up for my son who is an Angry Birds fanatic.
They also have backpacks.
And these adorable lunch boxes!
Now we get in to some super cool stuff that would be great for the dorm room (OR my house!)  How adorable are these retro microwaves?
Ok, this is way nicer than the Fridge I had in my dorm room.
Coffee and toast anyone?  3 in 1 Nostalgia Electrics® Limited Edition Retro Breakfast station for $49.99.
This is my favorite! Coca Cola® Mini Machine for $149.99.
Of course you need sheets and a comforter when going to college.  This is a great price.

They also have electronics there with lots of great laptops, Kindles and soon will have iPads.
Plus Printer Ink at much better prices than you would normally find.
On top of all those wonderful products they have a great deli section with Land o' Lakes cheese for $3.49 a pound every day!  That is the cheapest I have ever seen chesse and we go through a lot of it.  Plus they have Deitz and Watson deli meats.  Again you don't need to buy in bulk, you can get any size of deli meat you want.
They also have Organic products and soon will have produce from local farms.
Their produce section is wonderful!  Plus such a cost savings!
We also bought our Swing set there that looks similar to this one.  They have a seasonal area with many great items.  I really can't say enough about how much value we get from our BJ's membership.  Well worth it.  I could go on and on about the products they have, go check them out.
