5/10/13: Godiva Chocolate "Heart of a Mom" Collection

When you think of decadent chocolate, one name comes to mind, GODIVA.  This Mother's Day they have come out with a limited-edition Mother's Day collection only available in Boston.  I am sure many of you are still looking for a gift for your Mom, Grandmother or Wife for Mother's Day and this would be perfect.  Any Mom loves a sweet treat.
I love Godiva chocolate and I can be some what of a chocolate snob.  My Dad worked at Fanny Farmers when I was growing up and because of that some chocolate doesn't taste good to me.  Every Valentine's Day my husband always gets me chocolate covered strawberries from Godiva and they are to die for.  Today I was lucky enough to receive this Heart of a Mom Collection which retails for $25 available only until Mother's Day - May 12th.
It includes six chocolate pieces, each symbolizing a defining virtue of motherhood including:
- Unconditional Love: Dark Chocolate Filled with Lovely Strawberry Mousse
- Warmth: Dark Chocolate Heart Filled with Honey Ganache
- Patience: Milk Chocolate Filled with Notes of Passion Fruit Flavored Mousse
- Strength: Dark Chocolate Filled with Rich 72% Dark Chocolate Mousse
- Giving: White Chocolate Heart Filled with Sunny Lemon Mousse

Look at how beautiful these chocolates are.  Plus there taste as good as they look.  My favorite is the Strawberry Mousse filled one.  It is really yummy.
I love that each of them have meaning and the flavors are amazing.  Godiva really has outdone itself.  Get some for the special lady in your life, or get some for yourself and enjoy.

Disclosure:  I received the Heart of a Mom collection for review purposes.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

5/9/13: What Do You Want For Mother's Day?

My husband asked me the other day "What do you want for Mother's Day?".  This made me think?  What do I want?  Here are some thoughts, and they do not include jewelry, flowers or chocolate but more a long term vision of what I want as a Mom.
What I want as a Mom is...
My kids to always give me a big hug and say they love me.
My kids to be excited when I come in to their school to help and be proud that "their Mom is there".
My kids to grow up to be the best people they can be and always treat everyone with respect.
My kids to not regret that they didn't try and activity because Mom said they couldn't.
My kids to want a hug and a kiss (in Evan's case 3 kisses) every night before bed.
My Mom to feel that I lived up to all I could be.
My kids to feel like they live every day to the fullest and enjoy their life.
For my kids to call me when they are older just to check in and see how everything is going.
Nothing that comes in a box can make me feel as appreciated as a big hug.  After all it is my kids that made me a Mom and all I want as a Mom is for them to be happy and feel loved!
Happy Mother's Day to my Mom and all the Moms out there.  You are loved even if there is no gift in a box on Mother's Day.

5/9/09: Happy Mommy's Day a day early

We went out to dinner the day before Mommy's Day to celebrate. We had a family birthday party to go to on Mommy's Day. Here we are all ready to go.

The frames that Nana and Papa helped Lauren and Evan make at Michael's.

The kiddos looking cute. Here they are in front of the planter that Evan painted last year at daycare and it has a new plant in it from this year that Lauren picked out with Neicy at the store.
