10/9-10/10: A busy Saturday and So You Think You Can Dance

Sometimes it is hard to believe that you can do so many things in one day. This happened to John and I on Saturday night as we were eating dinner at 10:30 pm and discussed the day. John referred to Soccer as yesterday and I reminded him it had happened in the same day.
The day started with Soccer at 8 am (Lauren and I skipped out as it was chilly), then Lauren's Dance class, and then a visit to the Fire Station for an Open House that Papa Gino's provided pizza for to celebrate Fire Safety Month. You can go to their website for participating fire stations. This was a lot of fun, and free Pizza. As you may know Evan loves Fire Trucks and wants to be a Fireman so this was perfect for him. Another fun activity is always the Make and Takes at the library. That is the next place we headed of to.
The last activity of the day was just for John and I sans kids. We went to see the "So You Think You Can Dance" show. What a great show. It was the cast from the last season in addition to some All Stars from previous seasons. John and I watch this show regularly so this was a treat. My parents got us tickets to go to the MGM Grand at Foxwoods. I also danced as a kid and recently took up an Adult Tap class which has been a lot of fun. It is nice to see Dancers getting so much popularity on TV and the new National Dance Day that was set up in July.
Here they are after their Bollywood number.
One of the highlights of the show was the personality and the cool dancing from Domenic.
Another one of our favorites was All Star Ade and Billy in a routine that had a story of a business man and a homeless person who knew each other when they were younger. It was touching.
A Alice in Wonderland type act.
Disco!
Final number.
What a great show!
