Last night we went to see the Harlem Globetrotters at the Tsongas Center at UMass Lowell. My son plays basketball and this is a fun way for him to see the game at a family friendly price.
Here they are warming up to "Sweet Georgia Brown".
Here is T-Time who is a female player. She was awesome.
Bull always shoots it from in the crowd. Here you can see the ball in the net and him in the left hand bottom corner from where he shot it.
Here is Too Tall just hanging around. The whole game is so entertaining as they are continually doing fun stuff that the kids love.
They do play a basketball game too, in between all the fun.
Big G is always a crowd pleaser too. Especially when he does the song "I get knocked down".
Standing on the net, that can't be legal.
Dancing a bit mid-game.
Here you can see how tall Too Tall is compared to Hi-Lite.
This was super fun, they did one section of the game in rewind and then in slow motion.
Here both teams banded together to help a little boy get a basket.
Evan's favorite part is getting a Harlem Globetrotters ball signed by all the players. They stay after the game for abut a 1/2 hour for you to meet with them all.
Here are the kids meeting T-Time. Lauren was happy seeing a female player.
Then we went around to all of the rest of the players who were scattered among the court.
Kids were ten deep for some of the players but Evan was able to get all of their autographs.
Handles is my favorite. He does a funny little shake with his thumbs up to the crowd.
Too Tall probably had the deepest crowd.
Evan was so psyched to meet them all.
I would highly suggest going to the game!
They are coming to the TD Garden this weekend too so there is still time to go and see them. Here is the link for tickets.
The kids were really excited for the game and Evan was especially excited to see the players after the show and get their autographs. Last year we didn't know to get in the line first to see the headliner of the show who was Hi-Lite. This year we knew better and got right in line first for him. I would highly suggest lining up for him first.
Here is Globie. He is their adorable mascot and comes out before the game for some of the pre-game activities. Here they are warming up to "Sweet Georgia Brown".

Here you can see my kids got really in to it. Even my daughter Lauren.
In our game fans voted for trick shots. They were asked to dunk with their feet. So here you can see a player hanging from the net. These are always crowd pleasers. They do play a basketball game too, in between all the fun.

Here is more information about this year's game:
The world famous Harlem Globetrotters will take fan interaction to a new level when the 2014 “Fans Rule” World Tour comes to the TD Garden on Saturday, Mar. 29 at 7:30 pm and Sunday Mar. 30, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. Online voting is now open at harlemglobetrotters.com/rule, where all fans can choose which new game-changing rules they want to see in their hometown.
The Globetrotters were the first organization in sports and entertainment to let fans vote on rules when the team introduced the concept last year.
