Get a Jump on School Next Year With iD Tech Camps

I feel like it is the end of an era and I blinked my eyes and Evan has grown up! He is headed to the dreaded High School next year! As he is already a bit apprehensive about all the changes coming up, and also taking his first computer coding class I decided I wanted to give him a head start with iDTech Camps! This post was sponsored by iD Tech Camps but as always, all opinions are my own.
Read on as I have a $75 discount code for any iD Tech Camp!

Since Evan was young he was always a technical kid. He has always loved math and building and was always on the computer. He would build elaborate LEGO sets and even build complex track setups for his trains. With a Dad who is a Computer Programmer and a Mom who is an Aerospace Engineer I guess it is in his genes.
When I was younger I remember taking Basic Programming in High School. Times have changed quite a bit. I reached out to the computer teacher at our High School and they use the coding language Python! Ok, I may be showing my age here, but I only thought a Python was a snake? Boy am I wrong. Thecamp he will be in for a week will focus on building their own laptop from a Raspberry Pi and other circuit boards! How cool is that! With a son that has an interest in coding and robotics this is perfect for him!
They will then use Python coding. Plus, you get to come home with the laptop you build! Evan is very excited to go, and this will give him a jump on basic programming for next year and calm his fears a bit. His class will be at Bentley in Waltham, MA however iD Tech camps are located in top universities with over 150 locations conveniently held in Massachusetts and across the US. With lot of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) options students ages 7 to 17 can find something that interests them.
