Castaway Island Water Park Addition at Canobie Lake Park

We love going to Canobie Lake Park in Salem, NH ever year. I have been going since I was a child and what I love about this park is that it is ever expanding. This year the largest expansion is in the water park. Castaway Island just opened on June 15th and is an awesome addition!
It is gorgeous.
The Tidal River was the highlight for us. Who doesn't love floating around in the water?
Lounge in your tube which is free and float around as you listen to tropical music.
I would suggest getting there close to park opening and going straight to Castaway Island first. When we left the line was insanely long to get in as they were at capacity. Here you can see a view of the Tidal River.
I love the Palm Trees.
It is so pretty.
I love this guy. Check him out when you turn around when floating down the Tidal River.
There are also three water slides that the kids enjoyed.
Here is Evan sliding down. You can either do a single tube or double tube with another person.
Here is a little video of Castaway Island.
There is also the original water area. In this area the water is much cooler.
We ate right in the water park. There is an Outrigger Grill with chicken sandwiches, chicken tenders, burgers and more. The only issue is finding a seat to eat. Many people were using the tables there to put their towels. Luckily at one point some employees made them move their stuff as three tables just had towels on them and no people.
I was excited that they have Dole Whip. It is even in a cool pineapple shaped building.
There is pineapple, strawberry, or swirl of both.
There is also Castaway Island's Monkey Bar. We didn't get anything there but it looked like there were some yummy alcoholic beverages.
There is also a cute Lil Squirts Play Pad.
They also have Cabana rentals for an extra fee.
There are also lockers in Castaway Island and changing rooms.
Now we were ready to check out the rest of the park and headed to our favorite rides like the Yankee Cannonball.
Another favorite is Untamed. Be sure to use the Single Rider option around the corner from the entrance if you don't mind not sitting together.
Ice Jet was just added last year and is lots of fun. We especially like it at night when it is all lit up.
Evan loves to take a ride on the train and there are such lovely views.
Love the swings.
The Ferris Wheel is always a blast.
They also have Puzzle Rooms that are new for 2019. There is just a small extra fee.
There is so much to do! Check out some of my previous posts for more coverage around the park. It is such a blast!
