CONTEST CLOSED: CONGRATULATIONS TO BETTY FOR WINNING!
One of our favorite holiday activities is making a Gingerbread House. It is fun decorating the house and displaying them with our holiday decorations. This year we received a Gingerbread House from BJ's and I have a giveaway for you for a $25 Gift Card to BJ's so you can make your very own.
Here is the kit we received with what is included. All the Gingerbread House pieces are pre-made with lines for windows, door and scalloping on the roof. Plus it comes with a Christmas Tree to decorate made of Gingerbread, candy and frosting.
Plus right now BJ’s Wholesale Club is also offering a Free 60-Day Trial Membership to make holiday shopping easy, which can be activated until December 31. The risk-free, trial membership includes full member benefits including savings and no surcharge.
Here is Evan putting the frosting on to get all the pieces put together. It stayed together really well with the frosting we received
I like that it also comes with this stand to put the house in to. This is the first time I had used a kit that had this cool stand. The pieces fit nicely in to the slots and you can setup everything on top of it.
Here are the kids decorating it. Note the Peeps Snowmen did not come with the set. I bought those separately.
Making sure the roof looks perfect.
Now time to decorate the tree. I like the jelly pieces that come with it as they are shaped as hearts.
Evan added a chocolate Santa to the side that we had. We also used some extra candy we had left over from Halloween (yes we still had candy) to decorate the tree with some M&Ms.
I think we did pretty good. Our candy canes were a bit broken so we used those for the door. That was a great idea by Evan. Thanks to BJ's for this awesome kit!
