11/17/12: Pinypon and Nenuco Mommy Party

Today we had our Pinypon Mommy Party and it was a hit with Lauren and her friends.  We were provided with Pinypon dolls for all the girls, 2 Pinypon Caravans, and 2 Nenuco Dolls.  Both Pinypon and Nenuco are put out by Famosa.

Lauren was beyond excited to have her friends over for a play date.  Here she is with all that we received to have the party as we prepared it last night.

No one at our party had heard of Pinypon.  In fact I had not heard of them until I saw them when I went to Time To Play's Holiday Showcase in New York and got to see them.  They are mini-dolls who love fashion, accessories and new hairstyles.  They have interchangeable parts so that you can mix and match dresses, accessories, hairstyles, and even faces!

There are so many variations.  Here are some.

They really are adorable.  You can switch their faces around and on the other side they have their eyes closed.  The girls started the party by doing a scavenger hunt to find small cards that had pictures of Pinypons on them with a number on the back.  The number was the number of the doll they would get.  This way we didn't have multiple girls wanting the same ones.

 Now they were excited to get started with their dolls.  Most didn't want to exchange any parts with each other but Lauren showed them quickly how you customize your doll.

 As these dolls are at a low price point we discussed how these would be perfect for school grab gifts.  Usually these grabs are $5 and under of $10 and under and I always struggle trying to come up with a decent present at this price.

 Then they started to play with the Caravan.  I really like the Caravan.  There are a lot of small components that go along with it, however these can be packed up right in the drawers inside it.

 It has a lot of cool features.  The top comes off and becomes a boat.  In the middle area a table pops up where you can add the plates, silverware, and glasses.

 The girls were having fun with it.  They were the perfect age, all being 4-7.

Here you can see the bath tub.  This works if you put water in it.  You can pump it to spray the water out.

Plus we also go to play with a Nenuco Doll.  She is the Nenuco - New Born Makes Bubbles doll.  She is a beautiful doll and would you believe she pees in the potty?  Great for potty training.  You have her drink, and then when you put her pacifier in her mouth she pees.

 The girls thought she was adorable and loved making her pee.  They really enjoyed having her drink and sitting her on the potty.

What a fun party!  And who doesn't love parties that have cupcakes and a doll to take home!

11/14/13: Nenuco Sleep With Me Cradle

Next up in my Holiday Gift Guide is a beautiful doll for your little one to take care of.  It is the Nenuco Sleep With Me Cradle from Famosa.  I have reviewed other Nenuco dolls in the past and Lauren has always loved them so I knew she would like this baby doll.

 Lauren went right to parenting her new doll.  Some how she knew to swaddle her in the blanket and even gave her a name right away.  She said that her new baby's name is Victoria because that is what she wants to call her real child.

She rocked her a bit to make sure she felt secure and loved.  The doll smells like a baby with a faint powder smell that Lauren loved.

 Then gave her baby her bottle which the set comes with.

 Then even her pacifier which is also comes with.

 She thought the baby doll was so cute and loved taking care of her.

 Now it was time to put her to bed in her cradle.  This was her favorite part.

Time to go night night Victoria.

This play set comes with a beautiful cradle that is so easy to put together.  You can tell it is wonderful quality when putting it together.  Items snap together perfectly and the construction is wonderful.

 Here is a side view.  You can attach it to your bed or just have it as a stand alone cradle.

 Lauren liked putting her feet through.

 The star on the cradle lights up and plays a lullaby with a touch of a button on the top of the star.

11/26/12: Nenuco Let's Play School Playset

My daughter started Kindergarten this year and absolutely loves school.  I knew that the Nenuco Let's Play School Playset would be a huge hit with her.

What I didn't know is how much her brother would enjoy playing with it too!  Evan decided he should be teacher as he is the older one and would teach his sister who was Julia in their playing school and the doll was Katie.  I really was impressed watching them play school together.  Evan was having fun teaching and Lauren was having fun at the student.  She was much quicker than her doll schoolmate at answering questions.

One side of the playset turns in to a desk for your child to use including a storage compartment.  The other side is a board, ringing bell, clock and even a flip doll that teaches about the skeleton. There is even a lesson book with pages that can be pulled out for the student to do.  I loved watching them play like they were really in school.  Lauren would raise her hand to ask questions during her test.

Evan gave her a Math test of addition.  It was good for both of them as she had to try some addition math facts and Evan had to correct her paper after. 

Lauren was pleased as she got 100.  She also thought it was fun to wear matching glasses to her doll.  Both pairs of glasses come with the set.  I will warn you that the child's glasses did keep coming apart.  I had to snap them back together multiple times.

Plus they are learning.  They loved circling areas on the world map.
