Evan loves remote control cars but the Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Remote Control Car from Silverlit takes it to the next level. It is controlled via an iPod touch, iPhone or iPad connected through Bluetooth.
Plus we really enjoyed that you can stream your iTunes music from your device through the car and it reacts to the music! We were all giggling away when it started playing the music and almost dancing.
Here you can see the doors rising as it pulsates to the music. I have video in this review that shows this in action.
It was really easy to use. It comes with the 4 “AA” Alkaline Battery needed that you put in to the car which does not require a screwdriver, just press down and push to open the battery compartment. Then you download the free app from the App Store.
Once downloaded I just needed to go in to Settings/Bluetooth to pair the device and we were ready to go.
Evan took a little bit to get used to the controls but once he figured it out he was having a ton of fun. We were all enjoying it including our dog Fred.
Here you can see the lights. It honks, flashes lights, and you can see flashing lights inside the car.
Here is some video of it in action.
Evan was having so much fun controlling the car going forward and backward.
Here you can see the steering wheel interface on our iPad used to control it.
Fred was having fun watching it too.
Evan giggling away as he makes it beep.
Here you can see it from the back.
It is compatible with the iPhone 3GS, 4, 4S, 5, iPad 1, 2, the New iPad and iPad Mini, iPod Touch 3, 4, 5. Here it is as packaged.
It can be purchased here on Silverlit's Website. It can also be purchased at Sharper Image or Brookstone. It is an awesome toy for a child 8 and up or adults.

Wow this looks very cool! I have a new 7 year old that this may look desirable for him. Did you actually pay $129.00 for this (clicked on the attached site) or was it comp (saw the disclaimer at bottom) for your use of blog? Thank you!
