We were lucky enough to go to Futures at Fenway again this year. It is a great way to take the kids to Fenway Park at an affordable price. Futures at Fenway happens every year at Fenway Park.
It was a doubleheader with the first game including the Red Sox A affiliate Lowell Spinners taking on the Hudson Valley Renegades from the Tampa Bay Rays organization. The second game was the AAA Pawtucket Red Sox battling the Buffalo Bisons, an affiliate from the New York Mets organization.
Plus there was a Star Wars theme including free light sabers for the first 1000 kids, a costume parade before the game, and character sightings as can be seen here.
Here was our view of the game behind home plate.
They even had Star Wars characters up on the board.
Concessions are also discounted. Hot Dogs were discounted to $2.50 from $5 and drinks only $2.50. Be aware though that adult drinks are not discounted so you will still pay over $8 for a beer. You could also sign the kids up for Red Sox Nation.
There were little games going on in between innings also to keep the kids entertained. Plus there are on-field promotions, and autograph sessions with the stars from both games. Plus in the concourse there were people making balloon animals, games for the kids, face painters and other fun things to keep the kids entertained.
Here is the Lowell Spinners Canaligator going against some little kids. He lost.
Showing off some of the older Red Sox Logos.
What a lot of fun for the kids. Take them out to the Ballgame!
Disclosure: I received four tickets to Futures at Fenway to promote it. No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
