10/18/13: Disney Palace Pets

Everyone needs a furry friend in their life, even Disney Princesses.  Disney Consumer Products in collaboration with licensee, Blip Toys created Disney Princess Palace Pets to respond to that need.  They are the next hot holiday toy and next up in my Holiday Gift Guide.
When I saw these at Time to Play's Holiday Showcase where they were named to the prestigious “Most Wanted List” I knew this would be a toy that Lauren would love.  The Palace Pets toy line is available at retailers nationwide and includes figures, “plush” stuffed animals and play sets  The Disney Princess Palace Pets each belong to their own Disney Princess character and include: Cinderella’s puppy, Pumpkin; Aurora’s kitten, Beauty; Snow White’s Bunny, Berry; Belle’s puppy, Teacup; and Ariel’s kitten, Treasure.
I was right.  Look at that smile.  She played with them all night.
She loved all of the accessories that the Palace Pets came with.  She got straight to work brushing and blow drying hair.
Here is Cinderella's puppy Pumpkin.  She comes with the most adorable glass slipper to sleep in along with a sleep mask for her a dog bowl, a Tiara, brush, and gems to decorate her with.
We also received Rapunzel's pony Blondie.  She comes with 3 hair pieces to clip on to her tail, a brush, a beautiful little tower to sit in, a little bucket, and even a blow dryer for her beautiful hair.
Here is Lauren blow drying her hair.
She loved the blow dryer and her beautiful tail.  Tangled is one of her favorite movies so she thought this was really cool.  I could see her next step getting Cinderella and Rapunzel and having them all play together with their pets.
There is also a Disney Princess Palace Pets app that was launched in June of 2013 that has had more than 1 million downloads in just the first seven weeks.  The app shares the story of how the Palace Pets met the Disney Princess characters and includes activities such as an interactive royal salon where children can wash, brush, groom, accessorize and treat the pets to snacks.
 Here they are as packaged.
These are definitely one of the Hot Toys this Holiday Season.  From what I have heard from some friends they are already flying off the shelves so get yours early.
Disclosure:  I received these two Disney Princess Place Pets for review purposes.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.
