Next up in my Holiday Gift Guide is one for the boys. Although I must admit my daughter had a lot of fun playing with it too. Xploderz X3 Sneak Attack allows you to pivot it's body and hide and shoot up to 125 feet!
Xploderz are from the Maya Group. You may know them from Orbeez which we also love. Xploderz use a similar H2 Grow technology that Orbeez do.
The nice thing about this set is that it comes with some already grown when you open it. This has always been an issue for me with Orbeez as the kids want to use it and we would have to wait for four hours for them to grow in water.
The secret behind the Ammo Technology is a polymer and water-based system that creates an ammo strong enough to fire huge distances and yet soft enough to disintegrate on impact. Since the Ammo is 99.9% water, it is completely safe. The Ammo consists of super absorbent polymers that can absorb more than 150 times their volume in water. The water is absorbed into the spaces between the molecules.
We did test this out as my son shot me with it and it did not hurt.
We also had one of the original Xploderz so Lauren joined in on the action.
They both decided that shooting our Halloween decorations would be a ton of fun.
Poor Mr. Skeleton. Lauren was laughing as she got him in the head.
Plus you can select how many shots it will fire. Either 1, 2, or 3 rounds at a time.
Plus it comes with 1000 rounds of Xploderz Ammo and ability to shoot around corners.
The original was easier for my daughter to work so it was perfect that we had both.
At first Evan was having a hard time pulling the lever back to shoot it, but then he got the hang of it.
I like that it is a safe toy, but keep in mind you should play with it outside. You don't want broken pieces of ammo everywhere. Plus these superabsorbent polymers were developed by the Department of Agriculture in the 1960s to conserve water and keep crops moist in times of drought. They are planted under the sod in golf course to reduce water use. You too can save water by working your spent Ammo into the soil.
Sneak attack! Evan liked using the mirror and shooting around corners.
Evan and Lauren both give it a thumbs up.
