8/13/15: Hershey Gardens Beauty

After a busy day of sightseeing in Pennsylvania we went to Hershey Gardens.  What a lovely place to relax and see so much beauty.
When you enter you can see how beautiful these gardens are.  These gardens opened in 1937 at the request of Milton Hershey.
It has a beautiful view of the town of Hershey with great views of Hersheypark.
The gardens have 23 acres of beautiful flowers with 11 themed gardens.  The flowers are gorgeous.  Here is a sampling.
This statue in the water area is The Boy with the Leaking Boot.  It is a replica of a statue that was purchased by Milton Hershey in 1913 for High Point home.
Here are the kids relaxing in the gardens.
A highlight for us was The Children's Garden.
There are Hershey's Kisses that shoot water.
Plus even some Hershey's Kisses to relax on.
It is so beautiful, I feel like my pictures don't do it justice.
 Making some music.
There was also a small art exhibit called ArtCycle.  Here is one of the sculptures.  The artists use discarded items to make beautiful art.
There is also a Butterfly House.
There is a cool Japanese Garden.
There is also a Milton Hershey Tribute Garden.
 So lovely and peaceful.
Gorgeous!
I loved seeing the kids walking hand and hand through the gardens.  I guess beauty brings kids together.
If you are in Hershey, Pennsylvania get some downtime and enjoy Hershey Gardens.
