8/11/15: Roger Williams Zoo New Cheetah Exhibit

We love going to the Roger Williams Park Zoo in Providence, RI.  There is so much to see and every time we go there is something new to see.
Last year the Alex and Ani Farmyard opened and this year a new cheetah exhibit opened.  There were four cheetahs in this exhibit.
It is one of the first exhibits you see when you come in to the Zoo.
One of our favorite areas is seeing the elephants.
So cool seeing them so up close.
The kids liked when the elephant was eating.

My kids call this the "crazy bird".  These cranes are fun to watch.
Every time you put your finger to the glass they turn their head and put their beak where your finger is.  The kids giggle every time.
The giraffes are really cool too.  There is also a giraffe feeding, you can see details here.
Here is the Alex and Ani Farmyard.  It has been expanded since our last visit.
The kids like Willy the donkey.
We saw Zebras.
My favorite animal at this zoo and maybe any zoo is the Red Panda.  He is so cute.
Sleepy time!

There are so many cool animals to see.  You can see all animals here as I am only representing some of them here.  Love the tortoises.
It isn't even hump day!
Hello Mr. Porcupine.
Hard to see but here is a snow leopard.
There are also camel rides for $6.
There is a large play area for kids.  This is the CVS Caremark All Kids Can Treehouse.
A lovely area to walk around.
There is even rock climbing if your kids want to try it.  This is near the back of the zoo.
There is also a Butterfly Habitat you can go in.  We didn't go in but Lauren did take this cute picture outside of it.  There is an extra charge for the butterfly exhibit.  This will be the last season for the butterfly exhibit.
It really is an awesome zoo to visit.  Make sure to visit in summer and fall.  A must see is the awesome Jack-O-Lantern Spectacular in October.
