6/27/13: GymStreet USA Team Banquet

In Gymnastics the girls work hard all year and it is nice to have a night to celebrate, wear a pretty dress, dance and have fun.  GymStreet USA did a fabulous job again of putting on a wonderful Banquet for the girls.  Here she is with her Pre-Team friends.

Now it was time for dancing.   

One of the owners Charlie is in a band called the Common Ground 521.  The girls had fun singing with them and dancing to their music.

I can't believe she danced the night away until 10 pm!

4/7/13: Dance Awards Banquet

Today was the Awards Banquet for Dance.  As I mentioned before I take Tap, Evan takes Hip Hop and Lauren takes Jazz and Tap.  Lauren won Most Promising Student, Evan won Best Hip Hop Dancer and I got a 10 year award as I have been dancing at Ellen's School of Dance for 10 years (not consecutive).

 Here is Lauren with Aubrey who is in her class for Jazz.  They have been in class together for 3 years and Aubrey is Ms. Ellen's (Artistic Director for the Studio) granddaughter.

 It is wonderful seeing all the dancers get acknowledged and they also put on a wonderful video with a slide show.  Here is a set of pictures they included.  The one in the middle is us last year from the recital.  The one at the top was me as Peter Pan in my first recital and the one at the bottom was me twirling hoop in a recital.

What fond memories.  Hopefully my kids will love Dance as much as I did.

6/29/12: GymStreet Team Banquet

 Here she is with one of her team members.  Lauren is on a pre-team called Tiny Stars because she is so young.  She started on pre-team at the age of 3 and I have seen such a huge improvement in 2 short years.

6/22/11: Gymnastics Team Banquet

Last night was Lauren's Gymnastics Team Banquet at the Tewksbury Country Club.  All the kids got awards and had a great time.  Here is Lauren with her Gymstreet USA Award for embodying the spirit of GymStreet and she was most excited about the backpack.  Lauren even had her first Shirley Temple which was exciting.
