4/3/14: I Want My Nerd HQ Operation Smile Donate Now

I want to share a wonderful campaign with you.  It is a crowd funding opportunity to raise funds for Operation Smile.  In a nutshell the "I Want My Nerd HQ" Campaign is very simple. Funds raised allow Nerd HQ to be a free, four day event held the same weekend as San Diego Comic Con on July 24-27 at Petco Park in Sand Diego, California.  100 % of the money raised by auction items, photos, and signings at this event will be donated to Operation Smile.  In 2013 Nerd HQ raised $215,000 for the charity.  Zachary Levi is the Founder of Nerd Machine and Nerd HQ.
You may remember him from Chuck, or if you have kids like me you remember him as Flynn Rider from Tangled.  It is up to you to help and donate so that this wonderful event can happen.

I would love it if you could give even $5.  The goal is to raise $1,000,000.  All contributors will be part of the #NerdHQArmy, an exclusive email list that will receive updates, photos, videos and much more throughout the planning process.  Your name will also be on the "Nerd HQ Wall of Honor" on www.thenerdmachine.com.
Zachary Levi says “Being nerdy just means being passionate about something, including everyone - the coolest people on Earth are passionate and therefore nerdy about something whatever it is, whether it's sports, or gaming, or technology, or fashion, or beauty, or food, or whatever.”  Here is some video.
Disclosure:  This is not a compensated campaign.  I am just passionate about this cause.

5/2/13: GymStreet USA Support for the Richard Family

Being from the Boston area I was deeply saddened by the events of Marathon Monday.  I wanted to share this wonderful fundraiser that is being held at GymStreet USA for the Richard Family.  The GymStreet owners have a personal tie to a relative of this family that was so horribly affected by the tragedy on Marathon Monday.  I haven't said much about the horrible events on my blog, but I will say we were in California watching it unfold and were in disbelief.  I hope if you can you can help by going to this Open Play with your kids at GymStreet USA.  It is a win/win - the kids have fun, and all the proceeds go to the Richard Family!

Help GymStreet USA support the Richard Family by coming to a Special Open Play Mother's Day Sun, May 12th 9:30am to 11:30am $15.00 per child Ages 3-12
100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Richard Family!
Everyone was shocked and saddened by the tragic events that occurred on Marathon Monday, April 15, 2013. The staff at GymStreet USA would like to ask for your help in holding a fundraiser for the Richard Family. For those of you who do not recognize the name, it is the family of the eight year old boy Martin who died, his sister, Jane who has lost part of her leg and their mother, Denise, who was severely wounded. One of the employees at Kirkwood printing (next door to GymStreet USA) is the uncle of this family which brings this tragedy even closer to home. Together we can help this family.

The generous and caring staff at GymStreet USA will be donating their time for this event. You can help too by signing your child/children up for 2 hours of unlimited fun!
Special Open Play Events: • Inflatable Jumper Time • Supervised Gym Time • Pit & Rope • Organized Games • Glow Stick Dance Party • Relay Races • Parachute • Martial Arts • Bake Sale AND MORE!!!!!!!!!!

Pre-Registration is Required for this event. To reserve your child's spot Call or Stop by the Front desk. 978-694-9678
We love Open Play and know your kids will have fun too. Plus all the proceeds go to the Richard Family which is wonderful.

Disclosure: I receive a discount on my daughter's Gymnastics in exchange for posts for GymStreet USA.
