8/1/15: Nails and more at SunSations in Billerica

I love getting manicures, in fact I have had people tell me my nails should have their own Instagram.  Friends will always grab my hand to see what color or design I have as I try something new and fun every time.  I started going to SunSations Tanning and Nails in Billerica, MA four years ago and go every three weeks.  I love getting Gelish Gel Polish as it has no drying time and stays on without chips for three weeks!  Plus at SunSations they have such awesome nail technicians that do such cool nail art that you can have nails for all seasons.
I love trying out all different colors and designs and they are great about recommending some beautiful options.
Often times I have gone in and they have painted some options on an artificial nail to show me some cool things that can be done.
I have also gone in with a picture from Instagram or Pinterest and they can reproduce beautiful designs I see.
I love this one for Easter with an egg and flower.

I love my Halloween nails.
There are lots of cool glitter options that I love.
Pink with some glitter.
My absolute favorite nails that I do for our annual trip to Walt Disney World is my Disney nails.  Love them!
There are so many options for colors for Gelish which is wonderful.  Plus they have many nail polishes next to the Gelish colors for pedicures.
If you don't want a Gel manicure there are tons of color options for regular nail polish.
I love that they are also awesome with kids and the price is right.  They charge your child's age.  So Lauren can get her nails done for $8.  In fact we went today as we are going to Hershey PA and did super cute M&Ms nails.
Lauren loves coming with me and getting cool nails and being pampered.
How cute are these M&M nails?
They also do wonderful pedicures with many options.  If you just need a foot soak, polish change and nail cleanup you can get a Mini Pedicure.  There are also options for more deluxe Spa Pedicures.  You can check out all options here.
Plus there is tanning.  I tried out the Spray Tan in the VersaSpa and it worked really well.  It talks you through to let you know when you need to turn and is super quick.  My tan looked natural and even.
Check them out:
Disclosure:  I was provided with a manicure in exchange for review purposes.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

10/12/12: Gelish Gel Chip Free Manicure New Colors and Magneto

I posted last year on this but I had to post an update as my Gelish Gel Polish post has gotten so many hits.  In fact it is one of my most popular posts.  I can't say enough about Gelish Gel Manicures.  It lasts!  When I say this I truly mean it as I have been getting it done for over a year and know it is not a fluke that it worked one time.  It does not chip.  In fact I will have people ask me if I just had my nails done 2 weeks after I actually have them done.  Plus since my last post they have added a ton of new colors.  118 colors in total!  Plus if you put one color as the first coat and another as the top coat you can create even more.
I have tried this one.  I love glitter and this blue was super cool.  I did this one for the Fourth of July.
Here it is.
I also got the bright yellow for our trip to the beach.
Plus my manicurist loves to do fun things.  Check out my Halloween Nails right now.  The black lines are hand painted, no stencils.  My manicurist is so talented.
I love Ghostbusters so I went with the Slime Green on one nail with glitter.  Love it!
Here was Easter.
The scoop on what they do is the nail polish is applied as any other nail polish is applied with a base and top coat, however you put your nails under a UV lamp in between each coat to cure.  More information on the Hand & Nail Harmony website.
Here are some other examples.  A French Manicure.
Light pink with glitter.
Silver with glitter.
Pink with glitter.
And red.
Plus now they have Magneto.  This is done with a small magnet to form rings.
They have a variety of colors.
Look at how cool this is.
The other great thing is when they are done your nails are totally dry!!!!  No attempting to get money out of your purse or wallet with two fingers worrying that you will smudge or chip your polish.  Being a busy Mom of two this was awesome to me!!!
When I go back to have it redone she will file the top coat to take off the shiny part, wrap my nails in a cotton ball with gel polish remover and foil and then have me put them under a warm blanket.  Then she able to remove the nail polish.  (She did explain you can remove it yourself also, just don't peal it off!)  It does not wreck your nails at all.
Note that there was no exchange of products for this post, this is just me telling you about a wonderful product that I have come to love!

7/12/11: One for the Girls, a Chip Free Manicure for 3 Weeks with Gelish!!!

Ok, this is going to be out of character for my blog, but I need to scream from the roof tops about Gelish Gel Polish.  I had always had long nails that were painted, of course this was before children.  The other issue I always had is that if I went and paid for a Manicure, within a day one of my nails already had a chip in the polish.  This always frustrated me and being thrifty, made me not want to spend money on having my nails done.  Well recently a friend at work told me about Gelish Gel Polish.  I was adamant that I didn't want fake nails and panicked at the word Gel but she assured me it is just a Nail Polish, but it lasts up to 3 weeks!!!!  I was in amazement.  I had an appointment scheduled as a treat to have my nails done and brought up Gelish and low and behold they had it, and in tons of colors!
The nice thing about all of these colors is that there is always an OPI color to match for your toes.  I don't know about you, but my pedicures do last and don't chip.  I was so impressed with the Gelish Polish the first time that I have been going back every three weeks to have them done.  And believe me it lasted with no chips at all for three weeks.  I even had people comment after 2 weeks that my nails looked great and I must have just had them done.  I laughed and explained it had been 2 weeks.

I have had the High Voltage (which had glitter), a French Manicure (yes they can even do that and it looked wonderful!!!), Queen of Hearts and most recently Tutti Fruitti (shown here, as you can see it matches my toes which are not done with Gelish).
The scoop on what they do is the nail polish is applied as any other nail polish is applied with a base and top coat, however you put your nails under a UV lamp in between each coat to cure.  More information on the Hand & Nail Harmony website.
