1/27/17: Win Tickets to Newsies at Movie Theaters Feb 16, 18, and 22nd

I have another great giveaway for my readers!  You can win 2 tickets to see Newsies in Cinemas in MA on February 16th, 18th or 22nd.  Go to http://tinyurl.com/z7bllre to win tickets.
We can't wait to see it.  My daughter does a routine to Seize the Day from the show so we can't wait to go and see it.
More about the show:
Straight from the Broadway stage, Fathom Events and Disney Theatrical Productions are thrilled to bring the Tony Award®-winning musical NEWSIES to cinemas nationwide in an exclusive three-day event on February 16, 18 and 22.  Filmed live on stage at the Pantages Theatre in Hollywood, CA, this not-to-be-missed high energy show stars Original Broadway cast members Jeremy Jordan as “Jack Kelly,” Kara Lindsay as “Katherine,” Ben Fankhauser as “Davey” and Andrew Keenan-Bolger as “Crutchie”. They’re joined by North American Tour stars Steve Blanchard as “Joseph Pulitzer,” and Aisha de Haas as “Medda Larkin,” and Ethan Steiner as “Les” along with members of both the Broadway and North American Tour ensembles, filling the stage with more “newsies” and more dancing than ever before.  Set in New York City at the turn of the century and based on a true story, Newsies is the rousing tale of Jack Kelly, a charismatic newsboy and leader of a ragged band of teenaged ‘newsies,’ who dreams only of a better life far from the hardship of the streets.  But when publishing titans Joseph Pulitzer and William Randolph Hearst raise distribution prices at the newsboys’ expense, Jack finds a cause to fight for and rallies newsies from across the city to strike and take a stand for what’s right. For more information and to purchase tickets, please visit: www.fathomevents.com
Go to http://tinyurl.com/z7bllre to win tickets to one of the shows on Thursday, February 16 at 7:00pm Saturday, February 18 at 12:55pm Wednesday, February, 22 at 7:00pm.  You can select from the following theaters.  Showcase Cinema De Lux Revere, Fenway Stadium 13, Burlington 10, Lowell Showcase Cinemas, Randolph Showcase Cinemas, Blackstone Valley Worcester, Patriot Place - Foxboro, or Legacy Place - Dedham, Framingham 16.

12/16/15: Star Wars The Force Awakens Review

Yesterday I had the privilege of seeing an advanced media screening of Star Wars The Force Awakens.  Yes you read that correctly, I got to see the most highly anticipated movie of the year 3 days before it releases to movie theaters!
Go see it when it opens December 18th.
First off I am going to admit it, I am not that in to Star Wars.  I know you are now throwing things at the screen.  Despite the fact that I am not someone that is a Star Wars fanatic I really did love the movie.  There were so many funny moments and I could follow the whole story.  My son has actually been watching the films in the order they were released in preparation for this movie.  I think he is going to love it and I think my husband will love it too.
It really is a great movie for all ages.  There are no real scary parts for kids.  There are a couple of scary looking creatures that they might look away from the screen when they see but overall nothing too scary for children.
I found even if your kids did not see the other movies they would follow what was going on.  I loved the new stand out actors in the film Finn and Rey.
When they get together they need to get away quickly.  They end up riding in the Millennium Falcon which Rey calls "garbage".  When another ship is blown up they must use this "garbage" to get away.  When you realize what they are going to ride in there is a chuckle from the audience.
It was a nice combination to bring back the nostalgia of having Han Solo and Princess Leia.  I like when Han Solo first sees her and says that she changed her hair.
They had some funny scenes between them and you could sense the chemistry.  See if you can spot Carrie Fisher's daughter in the movie.
Everyone cheered when they saw C-3PO and R2-D2.
I liked BB-8.  It is always amazing to me that even a robot can evoke emotion.  I liked his movement too rolling around.  I love when BB-8 was interacting with R2-D2.
It is a great story of good versus evil.
You will find out who this guy is.
He has a cool light saber.
Such beautiful images throughout the whole movie and outstanding music.
I love these images from the World Premiere Red Carpet event.  Here is the man behind it all.
Everyone is looking great on the Red Carpet.
Love this!
The dream team together.
Storm Troopers everywhere.
What a great movie!  Go see it when it comes out!
The whole family will love it!

5/25/14: Delivery Man Movie

With Father's Day coming up I thought I would tell you how much I loved watching Delivery Man.  Vince Vaughn was excellent in this movie.  He finds out after donating to a fertility clinic years ago, he is now the biological father of 533 children!
The movie is so adorable as David (Vince's character) follows many of his children and acts as their guardian angel helping them out without them knowing who he is.  It was so sweet watching him grow as a person when he had more to care about than just himself.
Just think, that is a lot of ties and mugs at Father's Day!
He has a good friend with multiple kids.  These kids cracked me up as their father would tell them not to do things and they would just continue to do them anyways.
"Everyone has a purpose in life, I guess I just haven't found mine yet" - Quote from Vince Vaughn in the movie.  He finds out he does have a purpose.  "This could be the most beautiful thing that ever happened to me.  These kids need someone to look up to.  They need a Guardian Angel" - Quote from Vince Vaughn

Families, they are all a bit scattered and crazy.  Imagine looking out for this many kids and what purpose it would bring to your life.
Here is a sneak peek.

Check it out on Blu-Ray or DVD.

3/5/14: Win 2 Tickets to Disney's Muppets Most Wanted in Boston

I have such fond memories of hearing the catchy tune "It's time to play the music It's time to light the lights It's time to meet the Muppets on the Muppets Show tonight."  Now my kids love the Muppets too and I couldn't be more excited for the latest movie coming out "Disney's Muppets Most Wanted".  Plus I am giving my readers a chance to get two passes to a special advanced screening in Boston on Saturday, March 15th at 10 am.

Disney’s “Muppets Most Wanted” takes the entire Muppets gang on a global tour, selling out grand theaters in some of Europe’s most exciting destinations, including Berlin, Madrid and London. But mayhem follows the Muppets overseas, as they find themselves unwittingly entangled in an international crime caper headed by Constantine—the World’s Number One Criminal and a dead ringer for Kermit—and his dastardly sidekick Dominic, aka Number Two, portrayed by Ricky Gervais. The film stars Tina Fey as Nadya, a feisty prison guard, and Ty Burrell as Interpol agent Jean Pierre Napoleon.
How pretty does Miss Piggy look in this dress?  I love that Chris Harrison had Miss Piggy on one of the Bachelor episodes to talk about her wedding.

8/23/13: Meeting the Super Buddies

We love dogs and we love Disney.  When the two come together you know it will be awesome!  We were lucky enough to meet the Super Buddies Rosebud and B-Dawg today at the Boston Children's Museum!  These adorable puppies debut Debuts On Blu-ray™ Combo Pack and DVD on August 27th.  Isn't Rosebud adorable?  Look at her super cute cape!
Here is B-Dawg.  He is joined by Rosebud, Budderball, Buddha and Mudbud, as caped crusaders em’barking’ on their biggest adventure ever.
He was a tired doggy.  Their trainer was there to give them treats and make sure they were doing alright.
Today's event at the Children's Museum was wonderful for families.  The Super Buddies were in The Common area on the 2nd floor of the Boston Children's Museum along with Posters, tattoos, coloring pages and more for all.
First you got to meet one of the puppies and then go through and take some cool Super Buddies things.
Tables were also set up for coloring.
Of course the B-Dawg and Rosebud were the main attraction!  We have seen many of the Buddies movies and can't wait to see the newest one.
I really love Rosebud.  So cute!  I am having visions of a Halloween Costume for our Shetland Sheepdog Fred.
Here is a sneak peek of the movie:

Here are some wise words from the Super Buddies.
Here is some video of their training.
Even if you didn't make it to see them here are some fun activities for you.
