Conway Scenic Railroad Take a Ride With Your Furry Best Friend

While visiting the White Mountains New Hampshire we love to take a ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad. It was our dog's 3rd birthday and once I found out the train allows dogs I knew this would be a perfect outing for her to celebrate.

We chose the Bartlett Valley Train which is an hour and forty five minute ride. You can find all schedules on their website and I also have reviews on my blog linked in this post to all of their excursions.

Evan has always loved trains so this has been an annual trip for us.

 It is a relaxing ride as you listen to the narrator tell you more about the area.

 The Valley Train is a great option if you are not sure how long kids or dogs can be entertained on the train. This birthday girl could have rode the train all day.

There are two Valley excursions, Conway which is 55 minutes and Bartlett which is one hour and 3/4. If you are interested in a longer ride here is my review of the Crawford Notch 5 hour ride which is a lot of fun.  There are also dining options which can be found here. There are lovely views.

 We were in Coach as dogs are only allowed in Coach.

We have traveled in First Class as can be seen here.

 I love the wicker chairs and big windows to look out.  There is also a snack bar in this car and the narrator for your ride is on this train.

The part I enjoy the most is the beautiful views from the train.

It is so lovely just relaxing and looking at the mountains.

Evan has always loved when they bring the engine from one side of the train to the other for the trip back to the station.

Edaville Family Theme Park Christmas Festival of Lights Fun

I have been going to Edaville Family Theme Park at the holidays since I was a kid.  This past weekend we went to Christmas Festival of Lights and had so much fun.

It is so amazing the expansion that Edaville Family Theme Park has gone through over the last few years.  There is always something new to see.  We experienced Dickens Village which is beautiful.

This area also has the main man, Santa Claus!

We always have so much fun with so much to do including amusement rides, the train ride to see the lights, and Thomas Land!

Thomas Land has been a huge addition to the park with so many awesome rides.

 

So pretty with the snow falling.

The kids had a blast in the indoor play area too.

 So cool seeing Tidmouth Sheds with all of Thomas's friends.

Plus Thomas takes you around on the train ride.  The train ran every hour on the hour.  You can ride the train as many times as you want during your visit.

Evan especially loves going on the train.  Despite the light snow falling he decided we should go in the outdoor car.  He said it was the best view, which was true.  If you want a warmer ride go inside the train.

 What better way than to get in the Christmas spirit?

 The kids will have a blast and so will the adults.

7/15/17: Relaxing on a Ride on the Conway Scenic Railroad

When we are in North Conway, New Hampshire we love to take a leisurely ride on Conway Scenic Railroad.  Our past visit we went on the Valley Train on a 55 minute round trip ride to Conway.  You can find all schedules on their website and I also have reviews on my blog linked in this post to all of their excursions.  Plus Thomas the Tank Engine is on his way to North Conway and will be there on July 21st-23rd and 28th-30th!  Check the events calendar.

I love taking a train ride as it feels so relaxing.  Plus Evan loves trains so much.  He has loved them since he was little.

 We traveled in a comfortable car called the Pullman Parlor-Observation Car Gertrude Emma.  This is the First Class option which I love.  The price differential between Coach and First Class is not that significant on the Conway Train.  For an adult the difference is $5 and for children is $4.
