11/3/12: Boo from GUND Super Soft and Cuddly

We love dogs in our house so we were excited when we received Boo from GUND.  He is so soft and cuddly.  Boo is a super cute dog that GUND fashioned their stuffed toy after.  Plus he even has his own Facebook Page with 5.6 million followers!

Boo is a super cute Pomeranian dog.  You can actually learn more about him here.  Here is our Shetland Sheepdog Fred hanging out with Boo.

I was introduced to Boo at Toy Fair in New York in February and thought he was super cute and that my kids would love him.  I was right.  Since he is so soft the kids like to sleep with him.

 Evan loves sleeping with this little guy.

7/28/12: GUND "Top Dog" Contest

Do you think your dog is the most beautiful, best dressed, does he/she resemble you or is he so ugly only you can love him?  Get ready for the first ever GUND “Top Dog” Contest with a grand prize of “the Boo treatment” - a limited edition GUND plush in the winning pup’s likeness!  This is our dog Fred.  He is a Shetland Sheepdog and he is such a love.  He was our first baby.  

Inspired by the wildly-popular "World's Cutest Dog" Boo stuffed dog from GUND, the “Top Dog” Contest invites dog's parents from around the country to submit photos of their own four-footed friends on the GUND Facebook page in one or all of the following four categories:

· Most Beautiful Dog

· Ugliest Dog

· “Doganista”/Best Dressed Dog

· Dog that Most Resembles its Owner

The Grand Prize will have tails wagging; GUND will create a limited edition model of the winner’s dog. The dog will be available in gift and toy stores in 2013. That’s right! Your pup could become a GUND plush just like Boo!  I know my son has a dog stuffed animal that looks similar to Fred and he used to love to sleep with him.

The contest goes until August 15th. 

Winners will be chosen the week of August 20th and announced the week of August 27th.

Simultaneously with the “Top Dog” Contest on Facebook, GUND is running the “Most Pinteresting Dog” Contest on Pinterest. Consumers will be asked to post their entry on their own pages, “tag” @GUNDMostPinterestingDog and submit the linkto GUND at MostPinterestingDog@GUND.com. The “Most Pinteresting Dog” Contest winner will be selected based on the number of times the entry is “liked” on the GUND Pinterest board and the winner will receive a selection of GUND products valued at $250 retail.

3/20/12: GUND Girls Review

Let me introduce you to GUND Girls - Emma, Brooklyn, and Deedee.  I was first introduced to them at Toy Fair in NY and absolutely loved them!  These dolls are so pretty and cuddly.  Lauren ran right over to them to give them a big hug.  She also commented to me that she loved their dresses and accessories.  Any girl knows you must accessorize and Lauren loved their accessories.  You can check them all out here on the Gund Website.  They are beautifully made and have so much detail with bright beautiful colors. 

Their outfits are removable and can be shared with other GUND Girls friends!  What little girl doesn't like changing the clothes on their dolls?  Lauren shared the couch with her GUND girls to watch a movie.  They are so soft to the touch that they are wonderful to cuddle on the couch with or bring to sleep.  Lauren also made me laugh when she told me one of her girls disobeyed her and she had to give her a timeout.  She is acting like a little Mommy to the three dolls.  It is too cute.

Over the years we have had so many GUND products.  In fact my son's favorite little doggy blanket was GUND and he is now 6 and still uses it.  I think these dolls are a wonderful new product that any little girl would love.
