12/13/15: Zoomer Dino Jester and Chomplingz Z-Rex Review

We have always loved toys from Spin Master and their Zoomer line is awesome.  We recently received Zoomer Dino Jester and Chomplingz Z-Rex.  The kids had some fun playing with them both and giggling as they let out dinosaur farts!  Yes that is what I said, they fart. 

Jester is a Jokeasaurus.  One of my favorite things to make him do was to become hypnotized.  Wave your hand in front of his nose and his eyes will turn white and he will start following the motion of your hand.  Then he was clucking like a chicken, barking like a dog and letting out a moo.

He can be controlled by the controller or go out on his own.  He will spin around, chomp, roar and use his sensors to find fun at every corner.

I love that you plus him in via USB to a computer or in to a wall USB connector.  No going through tons of batteries.  

You can even use the remote to record and playback movements.  Evan is having him attack Lauren.  Watch out Lauren!

Plus he has a friend, Zoomer Complingz Z-Rex the trouble maker.  You can toss him his bone and watch him catch it.

Or pull his tail but watch out what comes out!

He also has a Hot Hands game where you try and get your hand out of his mouth before he chomps down.  His sensor on his nose is very responsive and sense when something is in front of him.  He takes 3 AAA batteries for operation. 

Even our Elf got caught by Z-Rex.  Poor Charlie the Elf.  Z-Rex that is not a bone!  It is our Elf on a Shelf!

12/1/14: Zoomer Dino Boomer Interactive Toy from Spin Master

We love interactive toys.  The kids were really excited when Zoomer Dino was delivered from Spin Master.  Who wouldn't want to have a pet dinosaur?

It is amazing how cool toys are today.  The interactive layer of toys is amazing and makes them so much fun to play with.  Zoomer Dino can sense where you are and what you’re doing!  Lauren loves making him go forward and backward.

You can tell how he is feeling by the color of his eyes.  Here you can see he is angry as Lauren is pulling his tail.

Green eyes means he is happy.  He likes being petted just like our dog.

Here you can see him close up.  His name is Boomer.  He can feel Happy, Curious or Angry.  He is very well built and has a flexible tail and neck making him easy to bend.

Lauren had so much fun controlling him.

He has a little remote that you use to control him.   Plus he makes cool dinosaur sounds including roars.

Using True Balance Technology, Boomer perfectly balances on two wheels as he roams freely, exploring your home and maybe even chasing your pets.

You need 3 “AAA” batteries that are not included.   You can also plug in your Zoomer Dino via the USB charging cable it includes to charge him.  You can tell when he is charged as his eyes change color.

He is tons of fun to play with.  I must admit I played with him a bit too.

10/5/14: Chatsters Interactive Doll from Spin Master

Kids these days have some very cool toys to play with.  In this digital age even the toys are interactive and have cool technology in them.  Starting off my Holiday Gift Guide 2014 is Chatsters Gabby from Spin Master.  From the second she arrived I knew Lauren was going to have a blast with her.  I also know this is going to be on many young girls wish lists.

She arrived in the most adorable house.  Lauren couldn't wait to take her out and start playing.

Here she is as packaged and you can see Lauren with a big smile on her face.  What is not to like?  A friend that likes to dance, get makeovers, play games, and interact with you.  This is a little girl's dream.  They also sent us the cute little purple glasses so Lauren can match Gabby.

Gabby is pretty cool.  To get her ready to play you just need to put two AA batteries in to each of her boots and turn the switch to on.

She is now ready to play with you.  

She talks to you and has many accessories including her dog Sprinkles, phone, smoothie, cupcake, lipstick, bow and brush.

You can interact with her by touching on the heart on the corner of her glasses.  She will give you options on the right and left eye and you can chose.

There are many ways to interact with her.  First off like any typical girl she loves getting makeovers.  You can change her lip color by holding up the lipstick to her lips.

She also gets thirsty and needs a sip of her smoothie.

You can put makeup on her, trim her bangs.

Fix her hair.

The most fun Lauren had with her was texting back and forth with her.  There is a simple app you can download to interact with her.  When she gets a call or text you just put her phone up to her mouth.

12/4/13: Ionix Tenkai Knights - Shapeshifting Blocks

My son loves building.  When I showed him the recent Holiday Gift Guide item, Ionix Tenkai Knights from Spin Master the first thing he said was Shapeshifters!  I had no idea what he was talking about as I didn't know anything about them.  He proceeded to open the Action Pack that we received with Valorn / Bravenwolf / Guardian and showed me what he meant.

What I learned is that IONIX is a revolutionary, new building system developed by Spin Master.  Think of IONIX as system made from supercharged building bricks. Bricks that come alive. Bricks that shapeshift. Bricks with unexpected surprises. Bricks that are infused with a special kind of IONIX brick magic. These building bricks are unlike any other bricks you've ever seen!  IONIX bricks are also compatible with other construction sets so the possibilities are endless.  Basically this body piece transforms in to the figure.  Evan went right to work showing me how to do it.

Then you add on additional pieces of armor, helmet and weapons.  This set had three of them so he was psyched as they could battle.

There are extra pieces which is always good.

The directions were easy to follow and he was able to put the three of them together in about 15-20 minutes.
