6/21/17: Peanuts Night at the Boston Red Sox and July Events

The Boston Red Sox have some exciting theme nights coming up that I wanted to share with you.  

I have always loved Peanuts!  Especially Charlie Brown.  You just want to root for him.  I am so excited to share that the Boston Red Sox are having a special theme night to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of Charlie Brown on June 29th.

Game of Thrones Night:

On Tuesday, July 18th to help the Red Sox Defend The Wall against the Toronto Blue Jays they will celebrate the Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning series, Game of Thrones®.  Fans who purchase the special ticket package will receive a Ser Andrew Benintendi bobblehead and have a private session to sit on the Iron Throne for a photo opportunity from 5 p.m. to 5:40 p.m.  The Iron Throne photo opportunity will then be available to all fans through the game following the private session reserved for purchasers of this special ticket package. Movie Night at Fenway Park:

A League of Their Own, the popular Penny Marshall-directed 90’s movie about two sisters who join the first female professional baseball league during World War II, will be featured on the Mitsubishi Electric Diamond Vision^® videoboard in center field at Fenway Park on Wednesday, July 26.  To ensure the best viewing on the 40 by 100-foot Diamond Vision® videoboard, fans in attendance will be seated in the lower seating bowl and down the first base line.  Fenway Park gates will open at 6:45 p.m. and the movie will begin at 8 p.m.  Attendees will be invited to walk the warning track from 6:45 p.m. to 7:45 p.m., weather permitting.  Concessions will be available.  Former All American Girls Professional Baseball players Maybelle Blair (All the Way Mae), Shirley Burkovich (Hustle), and actress Tracy Reiner, who played Betty Spaghetti in the film, will greet fans as they make their way around the warning track before the movie.

A League of Their Own is celebrating the 25^th anniversary of its 1992 release. The PG-rated film stars Gena Davis (Dottie Hinson), Lori Petty (Kit Keller), Madonna (All the Way Mae), Rosie O’Donnell (Doris Murphy), and Tom Hanks (manager Jimmy Dugan).  Tickets for “Movie Night at Fenway Park,” presented by Mitsubishi Electric, are available now at redsox.com/movienight or by calling (877) REDSOX-9. General admission tickets for the public are $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. The event is free for Red Sox Season Ticket Holders.

7/27/16: American Girl Doll Night at the Boston Red Sox

We love going to Boston Red Sox games.  Recently the Red Sox partnered with American Girl and had an American Girl Doll night complete with Red Sox t-shirts for your American Girl Doll!  Read on and you can win an American Girl Doll Red Sox shirt!

Lauren brought one of her friends and of course her American Girl Doll Saige!  I think Lauren, her friend and their dolls all had a blast.  I love all the promotions and giveaways the Red Sox have done this year.  Read on to see some upcoming cool game giveaways.

The kids were very excited for the game.

It was a beautiful night for a game at Fenway Park.

The boys were having an awesome time watching the game.

The dolls however were not paying attention to the game and instead practicing their dance moves.

The girls and I decided we would go and check out the Kids Concourse and Wally's Clubhouse as we knew they would have some American Girl Doll crafts.  First we stopped to see Wally.

We even got to see a full sized Wally Bobble head!

There was even a Red Sox Mickey Mouse!

That is all in the Kids Concourse.

Then we headed in to Wally's Clubhouse.  It opens in the 3rd inning.

There were fun crafts, coloring pages, balloon animals, and more.  Plus it is air conditioned which was wonderful as it was so hot on Monday night.

I love Fenway Park and they have done an amazing job making the Red Sox experience more family friendly.

7/31/15: Red Sox Kids Press Conference with Brock Holt and Family Fun at Fenway #RedSoxParents

As a part of the Red Sox Parents I get some pretty awesome opportunities.  I think I landed Mother of the Year with the experience at Fenway Park that I was able to offer the kids this week.  We started our day meeting Wally the Green Monster, a Kids Press Conference with Brock Holt and NESN's Gary Striewski, then got to try some Fenway cuisine, watched batting practice, went up to the Monster seats, checked out the Kid's Concourse, and then of course watched the game with a special ceremony for Pedro Martinez!  What an amazing day and any Red Sox Fans dream!

We did not know which player the Kids would get to interview but Evan was very excited when he saw it was Brock Holt who was in the 2015 All Star Game!

Before we left for the Kids Press Conference the kids spent some time coming up with questions.  Lauren was very organized writing her questions down on a piece of paper.  They made sure to prepare a few questions just in case someone else asked what they wanted to ask.  Evan went first asking Brock what he liked to do aside from baseball.

Brock was very down to earth.  In fact he told Evan he is a very chill guy and likes to hang out and watch TV, hang out with his wife and likes relaxing.  Kids asked some good questions about what other sports he played, what sports figures he looked up to, what is his favorite position and more.

 Then Lauren asked a question.  She asked how long their practices are.

 Parts of the Press Conference will air on Sunday, August 2nd on NESN on NESN Clubhouse.

 Then we got to try out some of Fenway Park's cuisine.  Believe it or not they sell 10,000 hot dogs per game!  But that is not all they sell.  They have lots of great food options in the park that you would not expect.  They even have my favorite Clam Chowder.

They have also expanded their kids options to include chicken tenders and fries in a cool take home plate, Mac and Cheese bites, peanut butter and jelly, popcorn in a helmet, and even cotton candy with a light up bat!

We got to enjoy our food with a beautiful view of the field.

 Then we headed down on to the field for batting practice.

 This is such an awesome experience to be on the field watching the players warm up.

 We brought my Dad with us who had a blast.  He had never been on the field.

 Then we headed up to the seats on the Monster.

 These seats are very limited in number but have an awesome view of the game.

The best part about these seats is that a lot of balls get hit in to this area and Evan got one!!!

From there we headed over to the Kids Concourse to check things out.  There are lots of cool photo opportunities for kids.

 The Kids Concourse is a great addition to Fenway Park.

Plus don't forget to check out Wally's Clubhouse which opens in the 3rd inning.  This area is a great place to come and cool off and entertain the kids.  There are games to play, coloring sheets and more for kids.  You can read more here.  Make sure to head there early in the 3rd inning if you want to see Wally and take a picture with him.

While we were there they had a ceremony for Pedro Martinez who was just inducted in to the Hall of Fame.

Before the game they had Pedro's plaque in the Gift Shop on Yawkey Way and the kids got to take a picture with it.

Despite the loss it was a great night for a game.  Beautiful weather and a wonderful day at Fenway Park!
