Red Sox Family Fun

Evan has been playing baseball for years and loves going to Boston Red Sox games at Fenway Park. The great thing is over the years so much has been added to make Fenway family friendly!

Evan brought some of his buddies to the game and they had a great time despite the Red Sox losing the game.

 Did you know all the cool things that Fenway has for family fun? Have you visited the Kids Concourse?

 Sox VR offer a virtual behind-the-scenes experience of Spring Training and World Series parade and celebration.

Plus an interactive home run derby challenge. Evan has done this before and loved it.

Sox AR offers augmented reality visuals at various locations around the stadium through scannable QR codes and the MLB BallPark App.

 Parents can register their kids for the Red Sox Kid Nation program before the game and score a free ticket for kids 14 and under. The Autograph Alley, inside the Jersey Street Team Store, hosts a former Boston Red Sox player, coach, or personality signing autographs.

Plus Wally’s Clubhouse provides activities between the third to seventh innings including, games, face painting, caricature artist, beanbag toss, appearances from Wally, and more. 

Fans can play Red Sox Bingo through the MLB Ballpark app by filling their Bingo cards based on that game’s statistics to receive a Red Sox prizes. Attend a game that features a Sox Promo giveaway item or a special themed Game-Day event such as Boston Comic Con, WWE Night or PEANUTS Night. First timers at the ballpark and those celebrating birthdays can swing by Fan Services in the Kids Concourse to get a specialized button to commemorate the occasion!

Did you know about the Student 9’s program which offers high school and college undergrad and graduate students the opportunity to purchase $9 game tickets. Students can register at redsox.com/student9s.

Red Sox Family Fun

Growing up in the Boston area has made me a Boston Red Sox fan since I was little. Now my children have become Red Sox fans and have a blast going to Fenway Park. Over the recent years Fenway Park has become even more family friendly and going to a Red Sox game is an amazing experience for the whole family.

Attending a game is more of a family experience now with Gate K for Kids with the Kids Concourse and Wally's Clubhouse.  Wally's sister Tessie also makes appearances in the Kids Concourse. Learn more about the Kids Concourse and Wally's Clubhouse in my previous posts here and here.

Evan loves watching Red Sox Games. We went to see the Red Sox beat the Orioles on Sunday on a very cold day. There was even a bit of snow coming down. We had to go in to the team store to warm up near the heaters but still stayed for the whole game.

The Sox even offered free hot chocolate at this game.

There are also lots of cool giveaways at certain games. You can see the full list here. We received a Chris Sale K counter bobble head which Evan was really excited about as he was on the mound at the game we went to also. He has quite the collection going now of bobble heads from the Red Sox and also some signed baseballs. His prized possession is his signed ball from Pedro Martinez which we went to the Red Sox Winter Weekend at Foxwoods Resort Casino.

We also were invited to Little League Opening Day at Fenway Park and had a blast. 

There were activities for the kids, caricatures, balloon animals, free fenway franks, but best of all the ability to go out on to the field, walk the warning track and play ball in the outfield!

It is so awesome being right on the field.

As you entered out on to the field you were given a foam baseball. I knew it would be dangerous if all those kids were throwing real baseballs around, smart move Red Sox.

There were lots of photo ops for the kids.

There are lots of cool family theme nights coming up.  On April 29th will be Wally's Birthday Bash where Wally will be hosting his closest friends in the Champions Club for a pre-game food and beverage buffet! The special ticket offer will provide access to the party as well as a great view of the Red Sox taking on the Rays!

On May 1st they will be having a Star Wars Night! Yoda, Leia, Luke Skywalker and more will be in attendance to catch the Red Sox battle the Kansas City Royals. Fans who purchase the special ticket will receive a limited-edition Xando Calrissian, aka Xander Bogarts, bobblehead! On May 20th it will be PJ Masks Night! The Red Sox are offering a VIP celebration with Wally, Tessie, and their special friends, PJ Masks! Tickets include a food and beverage buffet in the Champions Club. After the game, kids will have the opportunity to run the bases at Fenway Park!

8/9/17: The Red Sox and Family Fun

Going to see the Red Sox is so much fun.  The family and kids had a ton of fun at a recent game.  The kids brought some friends with them and had a blast.  There is so much fun for families now at Fenway Park especially with Wally's Clubhouse to Gate K for kids!

The kids were so excited to be at the game, plus the Red Sox won!

During the third inning Wally's Clubhouse opens.  The girls went over to check it out.  They gave balloon Wally a big hug!

They got their faces painted there too.

 There are always lots of games to play there along with crafts.  The girls made pennants and also made anklets.

Make sure to get some yummy snacks while at Fenway.

Aside from the fun at the Red Sox games there are lots of other fun Out of the Park experiences.  A few coming up are:  Thursday August 10th there is a Red Sox Showcase at Faneuil Hall in Boston, MA from 10:00am to 3:00pm.  

On Friday, August 11th there is another Sox Showcase in Worcester at 20 Queen St from 11:00am to 3:00pm.  On Saturday August 12th there is also an Out of the Park Event by bringing the excitement of Fenway to the Boston Common to watch the Sox play the Yankees during this free event starting at 2:30pm, game starts at 4:05pm.  The Red Sox Showcase will be there, along with free entertainment and free food, family-friendly activities, plus Wally and Tessie!
