1/25/12: Business Cards from Tiny Prints - for Blog Conferences, Personal Business, and more

When I went to my first Blogger conference - Bloggy Boot Camp I had no idea what to expect.  Luckily a friend of mine told me that I must have Business Cards.  I had no idea.  So glad she told me or I would have looked really silly without them.  So the night before I ran to Staples and got some business card paper and made my own.  I also realized that every time I go to a Blogger hosted event handing out your business card is a must.  Here is the stack I received from that first conference.  These are all new connections I was able to make through that one day conference!
I wish at the time I had known in advance and could have gone to Tiny Prints to get them since they have so many great designs.  I have posted about Tiny Prints many times and I know their quality is great in addition to the fact that they have designers check what you enter in for personalization.  Luckily the designer caught that I had a typo in my address labels.

Tiny Prints has so many wonderful Business Card Designs.  I especially thought some of their folded designs were neat as I like to include pictures which have been a big hit with PR people and other bloggers when I hand them out.  This one is called Professional Image.

Another reason I use my business cards is to give to Moms when I meet them at a playgroup or at the playground.  What a great way to provide your contact info.  This one called called Contact Me would be perfect.

It doesn't matter if you are a small business, a blogger or a brand rep.  This card is the only memory someone you meet will have to remember you by.  So make them stand out from the rest.
Disclosure:  I received 50 Business Cards in exchange for this review.  No other compensation was received and all opinions are my own.

I love using pictures of the kids in their birthday invitations or anything I send to friends and family and these are a wonderful option for me.  I know my little Princess would love this one this called Fairytale Charm:

9/23/11: Christmas is only 100 Days Away, Tiny Prints Has You Covered!

I know, I know, you are thinking "I haven't even decorated for Halloween Gilda and you are talking about Christmas!"  Well yes I am.  If you know me, you know I am a planner (this is an understatement).  It is in my blood being a Project Manager to plan ahead.  Christmas is my FAVORITE holiday and it is 100 days away!  Every year I obsess over our Christmas Card, trying out a zillion different fonts, layouts and pictures.  You can feel bad for my husband now and friends who I send 5-10 versions to asking for their favorite.  Usually my husband can't even figure out the difference between several options and I have to point out the font, or the phrasing, or one changed picture.  One thing I do know is that this year Tiny Prints has me covered with their large assorment of photo cards.  You might have read my post about Back to School With Tiny Prints, well you will love their holiday collection!
Every year I make sure to have a card that has multiple pictures on it as I like to showcase the picture of the family that we go to Picture People to have taken.  I also like to include some other pictures of the kids by themselves, maybe a picture with Santa, or maybe a picture from our trip to Santa's Village.  These are very typical of the 5X7 photo cards cards I would pick:
Modest Snowflake:  Firecracker
And Winter Chic
Another feature I love of this website is you can change colors.  I LOVE options!
You can see mine last year is very similar to this.
I always pick something with Red as that is what we generally wear, and something with more than one picture.  Though checking out their website they had some really cool cards that might be leave the normal card I usually do and branch out.  I think this one which is called Berry Wonderful: Cranberry is adorable:
I think this one called Stylish Memoirs is really cool and different.  I am always looking for something different as everyone sends out photo cards for the holidays and I love to have something that stands out in the pile.
I also love this tri-fold one.  We did something like this for our Birth Announcements for Evan and they were a huge hit with the family.
Check out their wonderful assortment of cards.  I love that they have a heart option to help narrow down your favorites.  If you are really prepared now and can order by 9/28/11 at 11:59 pm (PT), if you use Code:  NEWHOL11 you can save $20 off holiday card orders of $99 or more or $50 off orders of $199 or more.

8/11/2011: Back to School With Tiny Prints

Back to school time is always nostalgic to me.  I think back to the lovely traditions my Mom started with me and the new ones I have started with my kids.  Every year I remember going back to school shopping and then going to my Aunt's house to do a fashion show.  I would come out with every matching outfit and shoes and be so excited to show it off by modeling it around her living room.  My Aunt was like a second mother to me, she passed over a year ago but I think of her often especially around every back to school season.  The other tradition I cherish and have continued with my kids is to take them out to lunch the first day of school.  I did this every year with my Mom and Aunt also.  This was always a fun lunch to recap the day, tell them about my teacher, classmates and what I thought.  I love this first day of school picture of me going off to my first day of Kindergarten.
And of course I took a picture with my next door neighbor who is esentially the sister I never had.
Now with my children we always go out to lunch the first day but I have also started a few new things.  I now make a sign that the kids hold up on the first day of school which I think is super cute and also put a note in their folder with a picture and a note telling them good luck in the new year and that we love them.
I happen to look at the tinyprints website and realized they have a whole back to school section that would be great for the little notes I do.  They have cool labels which is great for all the items you need to send in, teacher appreciation cards (which I do every year), personalized note pads, and even play date cards!  I didn't know these even existed but are a great idea.  They even have lots of items for teachers including personalized academic planners, and classroom cards.  So cool!  So get in gear for back to school and head on over to tinyprints.
It will be here before you know it!
Disclosure:  I was not given monetary compensation for this post however was given a Tiny Prints gift card as part of the Global Influence Tiny Prints Back to School Campaign.
